Resurrecting MediEvil

Strengths: Easy controls Quirky Art and humor

Weakness: Camera control

I really liked the art and atmosphere of this game. Done in a "Tim Burton"-like art style combined with a cute story and funny voice acting really helps set this game apart from similar platforming games. I found the in-game training area really helpful in mastering the easy to use controls, and Sr Daniel's extensive selection of animations always keeps the game fresh. The game was easy to play...

It's not easy being dead

Strengths: Cool storyline, many different weapons, great FMV cutscenes

Weakness: Short game unless you're a completionist, some camera angle issues on some levels/during combat

I loved Medievil on the original PS and I was very happy to see that the PSP had gotten a port. In this game, you play Daniel Fortesque, a hapless would-be hero who is mistakenly believed to have defeated the evil necromancer Zarok at the cost of his own life. In fact, he bungled it and his heroism was a complete misconception/fabrication. When Zarok rises again to conquer the kingdom of...

Mresurrection

Strengths: Gameplay is reminscent of the PS1 Graphics look good on the PSP

Weakness: Game is kind of short

I don't have any friends with a PSP, so didn't get a chance to try out multiplayer - but the list of available mini games looked like they would be a blast. I finished the game in a few hours, and the replayability is limited. I would recommend this more as a...

MediEvil Resurrection

Back in the heydays of the original PlayStation, I remember playing a demo of a unique action-adventure game that went by the name of MediEvil. I thought that the game had a really unique look and feel to it, but I never got the chance to play the full game or the sequel that was released a couple of years later. Now that the PlayStation Portable is on the block, the developers at Cambridge...
