Rise to Honor

Strengths: Jet-Li

Weakness: Controls

Rise to Honor is a good game. You get to play Jet-Li with his legendary moves although the analog controls could use some major improvement. Overall, it is rather fun and easy to advance through the gameplay which could probably take a day or two to finish. I enjoyed it. If you are a Jet-Li fan, pick this game up and play/fight like him!

Rise to Honor

Strengths: Great rendition of Jet Li and his moves

Weakness: Bad cameras, repetitive gameplay, analog stick usage make some fighting difficult

Rise to Honor does a very nice job capturing Jet Li's fantastic movements and fighting style. That said, the game does have quite a few problems. The cameras, for one, are extremely difficult to work with. Futhermore, gameplay can get a bit repetitve based upon the plotline and fighting styles. Fighting with the analog sticks also made this very difficult in spots. I am a huge Jet Li fan (part of...

Rise to Honor is only average!

Strengths: Voice Acting Presentation

Weakness: Gameplay Graphics

Walking through Best Buy I passed through the Video Game Section and noticed that Rise to Honor had fallen to a 19.99 Price Point, Needness to say I was torn, The game had recieved a very poor review yet it was pushed rather hard by an ad campaign so I assumed there would be some play value to it, To Start the WORST feature in the game is the awkward control set-up, Learning movements and which...

rise to honor

Strengths: unique control sysmtem

Weakness: cheap boss attacks

Rise to Honor is one of the fighting games for the Play Station 2. This game stars international action film legend Jet Li as Kit , a Hong Kong police officer who decides to take on an evil Chinese gang. But instead of using a his police weapon(side arm) and blow them away like Chow Yung Fat, he decides to use his fists and feet instead. What makes of this game unique is that you don't button-...

Rise to Honor

Strengths: Jet Li moves, acting scenes. Chinese speaking scenes.

Weakness: Controls

This game isn't that bad. It has pretty good story. The game is too short, even though there are 63 chapters in the game. It's probably like a 10 hour game. Some parts are tough. Most of the parts are easy. The controls are bad. You have to use the right analog stick to fight. Non stop tapping the stick to fight with the direction you choose. Overall, it is a good Jet Li game. Not great but good....

Jet Li is the man

Strengths: Jet Li, cinematic presentation

Weakness: Awkward control at times

Jet Li gets his video game and I must admit this is a rather entertaining game. The rendering of Jet Li and his moves are very good. The only drawback is the awkward analog control at times since it's hard to exercise the exact, desired move. Anyway, it's still a good game and you get to play Jet Li to kick the bad guys.

Jet Li gets his own video game

Strengths: Jet Li, cinematic presentation, analog controls are one of a kind, unlockable characters from past Jet Li movies.

Weakness: Analog controls are poor at times, repetitive, short, nothing original about game.

I am a fan of Jet Li and it was nice to get an original game that was built from the ground up, without relying on one of his past movies. The end result is kind of mixed though. While the presentation (graphics, sound) is top notch, the gameplay could use some major tweaking. While I liked the idea of analog controls (performing all the fight moves with the right joystick) in theory, I often...

on the edge

Strengths: Jet-Li (voice and graphics)

Weakness: Bad guys and camera angles

I'm still not too sure what I think of this game. I must admit it was a fun game. I enjoyed the movie and that's why I picked up the game. The movement and fighting were fluid and the graphics of Jet-Li were amazing. However, as others have stated, many of the other graphics were of pretty poor quality and it was hard to deal with some of the camera angles. Once I beat the game, I wasn't too...

Rise to Honor

Strengths: Amazing martial arts moves, very fluid control scheme,

Weakness: Action gets a bit repetitive at times, light on gameplay

Rise To Honor is a good game, which seems to be more a martial arts interactive movie than a martial arts game. Jet Li stars as the main character who works his way against the Asian underworld. Through the game, the story advances nicely, with more and more moves being used against the enemy. The controls are very fluid, with moves easily flowing into other moves with zero difficulty. As time...

Rise to Honor

Strengths: Jet-Li

Weakness: gameplay flaws and repetitiveness

All in all, Rise To Honour is a better game than I thought it would be. The game moves at a reasonabley good pace and is easy enough to get into, although repetition is a problem. For all the acrobatic moves and copious explosions, Rise To Honour could have done with some more work on the actual gaming side. Had they done that, Rise To Honour might have been considered a classic, but as it...

Jet Li Rise to Honor

It came out of nowhere. You're skimming through press releases, nearly fall asleep on this typical weekday afternoon. Then BAM! – you see the headline – Jet Li is coming to PS2. I was pretty shocked. Jet Li, the man who reportedly turned down a role in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions because the studio wouldn't pay enough, would appear in an all-new video game in 2004. A new,...

Rise to Honor (ps2)

After starring in some fantastic movies from Hong Kong and some decent movies in America, Jet Li is making the move to the digital realm with Rise to Honor on the PS2. With Jet Li providing the moves and Cory Yuen supplying the choreography, this is a title that's bound to please the martial arts fans out there. The only question is whether or not all of the flying fists and feet translate well...

Rise to Honor (ps2)

We're always hearing about how the video-game industry has surpassed Hollywood in revenues, but that's only true if you look at the numbers a certain way while turning off the analytical part of your brain. Nevertheless, it's true that video games are getting increasing amounts of mainstream attention, and one result is that established pop-culture celebrities are starting to lend their brands to...
