Strengths: fun platformer lots of collectibles great minigames

Weakness: long load times controls arent as good as the original version

Ape Escape is a great platforming game for PSP. The object is to catch apes while armed with various gadgets. The graphics are great and the game is played very smoothly. Only problem is that load times can be a bit long. Get this game if you're an Ape Escape fan or just want a platformer on the go

Weakness: Only one analog stick, the camera is pretty frustrating, it's just a port of the original Playstation game

When the original Ape Escape came out for the Playstation, it was the innovative use of the dual analog controller that got critical acclaim. Strengths: Nice port to PSP

As a basic startup platformer, Ape Escape does well when you have no expectations. Don't think of a Mario-experience. I didn't really think this game would be quite entertaining BUT I was surely wrong. I actually enjoyed playing this game quite a bit. This is a great game for all age groups and would recommend adding it to your PSP game collection.
