Metal Gear Acid

Strengths: + Allows an avid gamer to get some sleep.

Weakness: - Long storyline, - Weird concept of controls

The first 5 minutes of this games was a huge turn off. It's okay for a game to have a storyline, but not a story so long that you ending reading more than playing. Really tried hard to like this game, but unfortunately this game was quite disappointing.

Metal Gear Acid

Strengths: -Graphics -Excellent storyline -Cards fit in the game very well

Weakness: -Too much reading for a game -Strange new concept for a Metal Gear game -Not for everyone

When you hear the word Metal Gear, you always think of a sneaking game where you can control your character right? Wrong, not this time! Although the sneaking aspect is still in the game, you cannot control your character like the past Metal Gear games. Instead, you have to use cards to move your character. I know this may sound weird at first but it is actually not. You play this game like any...

Metal Gear Acid

Strengths: Engaging storyline Card Variations Graphics Metal Gear Lineage

Weakness: Hate it or love it polarized gameplay Tedious beginning, game handholds you Incomplete explanations/poor translations Equip type of weapons poorly explained

This is definitely a game geared towards the more cerebral Metal Gear Solid fans, ones who have played the PS2 or the Xbox versions as a tactician. For those used to playing MGS more as an action adventure with direct user input, this game will fail miserably in recreating that experience. As a turn-based card strategy card game, this game melds two genres of gaming into one. The turn based...

Metal Gear Acid

Strengths: Hmm...can't think of any except graphics look alright

Weakness: Movement of caractor is poor. Reading the game just isn't fun.

If I wanted to read I would have bought a book. Moving the caractor by using cards is a strange concept. I don't think this game was well thought out.

Metal Gear Ac!d

Strengths: Unique card-based gameplay, beautiful graphics

Weakness: Card-based gameplay may upset some Metal Gear fans

Metal Gear Acid is a card-based strategy game based around the Metal Gear license. This is the first card game that I have ever played, and I'd have to say that I enjoyed it. I liked how all the cards were related to things that I was already familiar with from playing the previous Metal Gear games, so I think that helped me ease into the gameplay. I thought the decks of cards which are randomly...

Random luck

Strengths: Promising concept. Offbeat humor.

Weakness: Relies too much on random luck getting the cards you need. No voice acting. Multiplayer mode is an exercise in frustration.

This is a fresh take on the Metal Gear series, utilizing a turn-based card-battling system instead of a real-time action engine. The biggest problem with being turn-based is that you still have to take stealth into consideration. If you are discovered, you may not have enough time until your next turn to react before too many "bad things" have happened around you. Its greater problem is the...

Metal Gear Acid (PSP)

I'm not one to play these card battle games and stuff, but Metal Gear Ac!d is an exception. It's addicting and fun. It really puts Dont judge a book by its cover to the test. Looked crappy at first but... It's one of the best!

A Metal Gear Acid Review

Strengths: Snake's back in action, story is less confusing than old recent Metal Gears

Weakness: It's a card battle game, which is a miss with most people, and some cards are rediculously broken

Whether or not you like this game is entirely based on your stances on card games. I have no problem with them, so i was really able to enjoy the game.

Only if you like startegy

Strengths: It's Metal Gear! Great visuals, pretty good story.

Weakness: It's not your typical Metal Gear game so traditional fans of the series may be turned off, the game is hard.

Snake is back in an all new Metal Gear game for Sony's handheld. This is an awesome game for what it is which is a strategy game. It has a pretty good story and it is very challenging. The only downside I found in this title was the load times and the fact that some of the stages were very long for a portable. Pick this title up if you like stategy games, I enjoyed it a lot.

odd title for the Metal Gear series but good

Strengths: lots of cards to collect, 20+ hour game first time through, turn based strategy, cards based on previous Kojima games

Weakness: may turn off Metal Gear fans looking for typical stealth action

Metal Gear Acid is a turn based strategy that uses cards for your commands and actions. Don't be turned off by the cards, it is much like a turn based strategy game like Fire Emblem. Beware that this is a strategy game, not an action game like previous Metal Gear Solid games. This game is pretty difficult too, but very fun to play if you like the strategy genre. The cards are cool to collect,...

Metal Gear Acid Review

And now, Kojima defies logic by taking his beloved game series and turning it into a card game. However, it would be more accurate to describe Kojima as something of a mad scientist… Though his ideas may be strange and extraordinary, the product is always a spectacle to behold in its completed stage. For Metal Gear Acid, Kojima took it to the slab. He took Metal Gear, gave it the brain of Final...

Metal Gear Acid

Imagine if you will Hideo Kojima’s stealthy-action Metal Gear series in the palm of your hand. Oh the very thought of it filled a long-time fan like myself with joy and you better believe I couldn’t wait until March. Well Sony’s PSP is here and so is Metal Gear Acid, but this is not the Metal Gear we all know. Interested in finding out why this is still a pretty amazing PSP game? Please...
