Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner

Strengths: Great gameplay, good storyline, interesting visuals, good music

Weakness: A little on the short side

Zone Of The Enders: The 2nd Runner takes everything that was good about the first game and makes it great. The basic combat is the same as you are a mech that flies around and fights against other mechs and enemy ships. This time around though, there are many more enemies on the screen at once and the gameplay has been sped up. The visuals also got a facelift this time around and there are some...

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

Strengths: Stunning cell graphics. Awesome gameplay. Fast action. Perfect shooter!!

Weakness: None

This is an awesome shooter for the playstation 2. The mech battles are intense. The fast action sequences leave you breathless. I can't believe how bad the prequel is compared to the original. If you haven't played this one, go out and get it now!!!

What the first one should have been

Strengths: Graphics, presentation, gameplay

Weakness: Some weak voice acting

This game is great. Simple as that. The battles are huge. They are crazy, out-of-control fun. The graphics are beautiful and really push the Playstation 2's power. The sound is superb as well. The music is varied and excellent throughout. No more whiny hero either, this hero is a tough customer who doesn't mind getting rid of the bad guys. Some of the dialogue is laughable at best, but everything...

Zone of Enders: 2nd runner

Strengths: Improved graphics, gameplay, and storyline

Weakness: None

A stellar sequel, Zone of Enders: 2nd Runner far improves on its predecessor. The graphics have taken a major step up and the gameplay is a lot smoother and more enjoyable. The action is very fast and sometimes the camera cannot keep up with all of it, but the anime style storyline and graphics are very well put together. The soundtrack is very well put together too with many pop anime style...

Kojima please make another!

Strengths: Graphics, audio, engaging story, intense gameplay, overall bigger and much better than its predecessor.

Weakness: Voice acting is sometimes a little mediocre, dialoge isn't the best at times.

To me, this game is a reason to own a PS2. ZOE: 2nd Runner picks up shortly after the events where the first Zone of the Enders left off and continues the story of Jehuty's quest to Auman. In the sequel Dingo becomes the pilot of Jehuty and is literally a part of Jehuty in a way since his life support is connected to the orbital frame. Many events take place that will spark the interest of anyone...

An excellent action game that fast paced players...

Strengths: Fast paced mech combat, Combat happens all around you, including vertical, great voice acting, beatiful graphics

Weakness: Short, story is a little weak

This game is one of the greatest sleeper hits ever created. It features full 3d combat at an extremely fast pace, while the controls are quick to get used to and very responsive. The game really makes you feel like you're playing a japanese mech anime. It can be hard, but very rarely cheap. The graphics are beautiful, with cel-shaded explosions and no slowdown (except for one level if you use one...

Zone of the Enders 2

Strengths: Much better than the first ZOE

Weakness: Weak storyline

The first Zone of the Enders didn't do much for me at all but it's sequel easily redeems the series. This sequel is bigger and better in every way. The arcade-ish gameplay where you control giant robots is incredibly fun and Konami went all out in coming up with imaginative game design. I wasn't a big fan of the story personally, but the action was excellent.

Beautiful ZOE

Strengths: Just...So...Pretty

Weakness: gameplay is good, but not great

This game looks soooo good, especially for a PS2 game. Everything in the game has a cell-shadedish look to it, but instead of looking like loony toons, it looks like Akira. This is an Anime in playable form. The explosions, lasers, light trails, everything....its all just so stylized and pretty. The plot can be confusing, and the gameplay isn't as groundbreaking as some may have hoped, but it is...

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

Strengths: Graphics, Sound, Gameplay.

Weakness: Its short and some may not like the change of main character or the way they explained it.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (ZOE2) is a action/adventure mech game for PS2. ZOE2 is the sequel to Zone of the Enders. ZOE2 is superior to the original in every qaulity. Better graphics, better sound, huger cast, longer game, more enemies on screen, better gameplay, etc. This is what a sequel should be like. Though it has its minor flaws like its still not long enough or the change of the...

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

Strengths: great gameplay

Weakness: missing pal version extra

The game play in this game is fast and fun. In this game you control mechs and go through levels. The action is quick and non stop. The graphic, sound, and story are all amazing. Sadly, the PAL version extra are not in this game.

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner

There was a huge influx of “must have” games coming out within the past month, ranging all genres on all consoles. There is one game that I personally, have been waiting for, salivating at every screenshot and video, since the end of the first game: Zone of the Enders (or Z.O.E. for short). This game totally changed the way that game developers looked at creating a mech game for any console,...

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (ps2)

The original Zone of the Enders was to be a landmark project, hailed by much of the press as the PlayStation 2's first true system seller -- two years later, it's now remembered as that game that came with the Metal Gear Solid 2 demo. Konami has addressed many of the first game's most pressing issues, but a few others are either unaddressed or fumbled, keeping Zone of the Enders 2 from true...

Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner (ps2)

There were quite a few criticisms when Konami's robot action piece Zone of the Enders made its way to store shelves nearly two years ago. Professionally pounded because of its repetitive nature, brief playing time, and somewhat limited game design, ZOE never quite lived up to the hype that its constituents had placed upon it. Despite boasting North America's first playable demo of Metal Gear...
