Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Great orchestral score, epic story, excellent graphics.

Weakness: Long stretches where it's nothing but story and no gameplay, having to wait for all the future installments.

The original Xenogears (Episode V) on Playstation One is still one my favorite games of all time. That's why I got excited when I heard Namco would be remaking the entire multi-part saga starting from the beginning. What we have here is a very good start. While I didn't find the plot quite as engaging as the original game, it's definitely great. The story unfolds through cutscenes and a lot of...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Great story and good characters.

Weakness: Some might not like so many/long cut scenes.

I was waiting on Xenosaga hoping it would be more related too and as good as Xenogears. Thats not quite what I got. Instead Xenosaga is a very story heavy game set in the same type of universe as Xenogears. This time around I didn't enjoy combat as much, maybe because there wasn't much of it. So if you like RPGs because of the cut scenes and story you will very much enjoy Xenosaga. Plus the rest...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Strong StoryLine, Unique battle system, Decent Graphics, 50+ hour quest!

Weakness: Gets Boring after sumtimes, there is a few bad side quest, Soundtrack isn't what I was expect!

XenoSaga by Namco, this game is non-related to he great Xenogear by Square. But it still holds it's own. This game is goin to be a 4+ plus episode series, where the 2nd was just recently released. Pros: Well for a 3 yr. old game, Graphic is outdated, but it still decent and by RPG standards, it's pretty darn good. Story is the strong point to this game, where ending will leave you wanting for...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: graphic are top notch and the battle system stays true to the xenogear syetem.

Weakness: Some battles take forever when their are four or five of one type of enemy an they keep boosting their friends to either to attack you or heal their forces.

I have never seen a video game that that can compete against the final fantasy series in both graphics, game play, and story such as xenosaga did. The battle system remains true to its' xenogear roots and the graphics are truly unbelieveable. You wouldn't beleve that this came a company the cut all ties to their squaresoft roots to strike out on their own. Xenosaga is sort of a presequal leading...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Graphics Battle System

Weakness: None I love the game

Namco has really brought an nice game into the RPG world. KOS-MOS is really one of the coolest characters ever to folllow, and the story is really quite interesting. The music in this game is also truly inspiring as it was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Cinemas were brilliant. Even includes mini games! This game is a steal at the prices you can find around the net. Get it now!

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: great fighting system

Weakness: long cutscenes

this game has a great fighting system, the only bad thing is you have to sit through 1 hour cutscenes to paly them. You watch this game more than you play it. The characters like KOS-MOS are likable but they didn't grow on me. If you like watching games, buy this if not; a rental could suffice you.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: The best feature is a very well done storyline that captures your attention. Very impressive graphics. No random battles so you fight when you want.

Weakness: The cutscenes can be very long, so if you are in a rush to go somewhere you have to watch the entire long cutscene before you can save.

Xenosaga is an RPG of epic preportions, a worthly prequel to the famous Xenogears game for the PSX. If you enjoy RPG and Sci-Fi, this game will appeal to you the most. Well worth the time invested in play this treasure of a game.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Gameplay

Weakness: Too many movies for some

Xenosaga is a love it or hate it game. Some will love the movies that it has (8 hours worth!) and some will hate the movies that it has. Well, anyway, the graphics in the game are good -- on the level of Final Fantasy X except that this obivously has a lot more sci fi flair in the designs. The sound is good with the game's stellar musical score which is always appropriate. The game's battles...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille Zur Macht

Strengths: Visuals and Battle system

Weakness: Damn Cut scenes

I like this game, but it was long as hell. And in this case it's not good. When you have a bunch of an hour long cut scenes, when you are supposed to be playing this game it get kinda get you upset. One cut scene put me to sleep. Beware of the cut scenes with this game. It's worth 20 dollars. And if just want to watch the cut scenes, buy Xenosaga II.

Xenosaga

Strengths: excellent storyline and soundtrack

Weakness: weak battle system, somewhat uneven game design

I personally hated this game's unofficial prequel with a passion but I enjoyed Xenosaga. Most of the same problems were there, including a large focus on slow, and sometimes dull cutscenes, but the the presentation in this game is top notch and the story is very interesting. The soundtrack is excellent and really enhances the cinematic feel of the game. What I didn't like was the battle system,...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht

The spiritual successor to Xenogears is one of the most epic, apocalyptic, hyperbolic RPGs ever made?and it stretches the definition of ?role-playing game? in more ways than one.

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht (ps2)

Not since the release of Squaresoft's 2001 cinematic masterpiece Final Fantasy X has an RPG been as thoroughly hyped as Namco's gargantuan effort Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht. Big not only in name, the plot-heavy epic is also massive in terms of scope, characterization, and focused ambition. Developed by Monolith Software , Xenosaga is an epic six-part story that's rumored to span...

Xenosaga: Episode I

52 months. That's how long it has been since Square released Monolith Software's controversial RPG, Xenogears. Since that time, Monolith was acquired by Namco, developer of Tekken and Soul Calibur, among many other groundbreaking games. Along with Monolith came its most beloved property, Xenogears. The developers wanted to change the direction of the series, so they renamed it Xenosaga, entitling...

Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht (ps2)

Square's Xenogears for the original PlayStation is a love-it-or-hate it magnum opus that brings together a variety of disparate elements and drives into one game. I happen to be on the hate it side of the fence; while I always felt like it was going somewhere, after 32 hours of tedious and frustrating dungeons and slow-moving text I finally dropped my controller with finality. Namco's Xenosaga is...
