Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings

Strengths: FF12 sequel, follows characters from FF12, nice artstyle

Weakness: too long, hard to specify commands

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings is a sequel to the Playstation 2 game Final Fantasy XII. It is a fun game for a while, but gets old fast since the game is too long. It is also hard to issue individual commands to units. The art style of the game is excellent, and it continues the story of FF12. All the old characters are back. It's a good game overall.

This game differs quite a bit from others in the Final Fantasy brand. Instead of a turn based RPG, the combat system is real time and involves controling a series of 5 characters who then each guide a group of espers (monsters). The twelth (and a half) Final Fantasy.

Strengths: Hours and hours of play time. Adds a strategy element not in the PS2 game. Looks good on the DS.

Weakness: Difficulty level is up and down.

Revenant wings is a great new addition to the Final Fantasy game series. It's a continuation of what happened in FFXII for teh DS. but it adds a whole new strategy element sort of like Final Fantasy Tactics. It seems to hit everythign just right. Sometiems a fight may seem too difficult or two easy. But on the whole the gameplay is great. And it'll last hours and hours.

Revenant Wings is an RTS much improved over its spiritual predecessor, Heroes of Mana. Strengths: Accessible yet RTS gameplay

Weakness: Uneven difficulty

FFXII: Revenant Wings is a good (but not great) attempt at something new from Square Enix. As a hybrid of real-time strategy and role-playing, Revenant Wings has a nice mix of interesting missions, loads of sidequests, and neat character/team/item customization. The largest flaw is that the difficulty seems to spike randomly, resulting in some frustrating moments.
