Impressive

Strengths: Gorgeous graphics, engaging story, spot on controls.

Weakness: Load times

Impressive, most impressive. I new when I first saw the trailer for this game that it was gonna be something special. This is the best RPG released on the Xbox platform so far,bar none. Gorgeous graphics an engaging story and spot on controls make this my favorite game so far for the Xbox. This is what every Xbox owning FF fan has been waiting for. The answer to our Japanese RPG craving is Lost...

A truly fantastic RPG on the Xbox 360

Strengths: Beautiful cutscenes Turn-based battles Engaging ring battle-system

Weakness: Character design (those outfits!) Low difficulty

I enjoy RPG's. So when one was available for the Xbox 360, I jumped at the chance to play it. It was worth every penny. The game is gorgeous. Lush areas really showcase the Xbox 360's power. You may wander through jungles, snowcaps, caves, and much more. I really enjoy turn-based RPG's. The fighting system in this is very intuitive. A regular (physical) attack can have increased damage by using...

Lost Odyssey

Strengths: Epic role-playing game for a system that needs more of them!

Weakness: Random battles can be a bit annoying.

Lost Odyssey is an epic turn-based Japanese role playing game that I enjoyed very much. In fact, I consider it to be one of the very best 360 games. The game stretches across 4 discs. It has a great story but you are never overwhelmed by cut scenes - they are well-spaced. It has a more serious tone and appearance than another excellent JRPG for the 360 - Blue Dragon. So those put off by the more...

Traditional RPG Goodness on 360

Strengths: Characters, sound, graphics, story, and gameplay.

Weakness: Gameplay.

Lost Odyssey is a traditional RPG game for XBOX 360. As the player you take on the role of Kaim on his adventures. Kaim is an immortal who can use mortal skills once learned. The game is turn-based and that's its major flaw. The turn-based system hasn't changed much since the start of traditional RPG games. The graphics are beautiful and the sound is clear. The characters are story are well done....

Excellent Game

Strengths: Good graphics

Weakness: Load times

Lost Odyssey plays more like a traditional RPG. It has stellar graphics and a good battle system. The load times are not terrible, but can get annoying when you're not looking for battles. The story is pretty good and overall, if you like Final Fantasy kind of games, then you'll love this.

Very good RPG

Strengths: Nice combat system and the story is pretty interesting

Weakness: Overall gameplay is not exactly groundbreaking

Fans of the Final Fantasy series should fund themselves right at home with Lost Odyssey. The battle system is turn based. You can equip characters with rings which can have various effects on the battle depending on which ones you pick. When a person with a ring attacks normally a system of rings comes up. If you match the rings perfectly then you get the specified bonus with your attack. Battles...

Lost Odyssey for XBOX 360

Strengths: Very good and entertaining story line, good graphics, gameplay and controls are excellent.

Weakness: Kind of long load times, text only dream sequences.

Lost Odyssey proves that a turn-based RPG still has merit in modern gaming. While there is nothing in Lost Odyssey that will convert action-RPG fans, there is plenty to please those already singing in the choir. Lost Odyssey creates several memorable characters and a perfect setting that should please those sick of traditional JRPGs. I would highly recommend this to any RPG fans.

You'll be Glad you Found Lost Odyssey

Strengths: Excellent graphics. Interesting story.

Weakness: Text-only cutscenes.

The only complaint I have with Lost Odyssey is the text-only cutscenes when the main character, Kaim, remembers something from his past. This was an excellent opportunity for the developer to show off the excellent graphics. Battles are reminiscent of past great RPG's, and the story is of the amnesia ridden hero out to help humanity variety. If you're a fan of RPG's, I'd rate Lost Odyssey a must...

This Game IS Awesome!!!

Strengths: STORY!!!! Character depth, Combat System, Gameplay

Weakness: Load Times

I was blown away when I started playing this game and it kept me hooked all the way through. I just couldn't stop, the storyline and gameplay were just too addicting. It reminded me so much of some of the older FF games and It is just what Xbox 360 needed for a RPG. I am definitely hoping that with the success of this title that they follow it up with a sequel. The load times were not really that...

Lost Odyssey

Being the second offering from Mistwalker, the development house founded by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Lost Odyssey has a lot riding on it. The first title from the developer, Blue Dragon, offered some pretty high-caliber production values, including art design by Dragon Ball Z creator Akira Toriyama and a score by Nobuo Uematsu (who also worked previously on Final Fantasy titles),...
