Gran Turismo 5 Prologue

Strengths: Realism!

Weakness: Limited number of vehicles.

This is an awesome limited-vehicle version of the forthcoming full-version of Gran Turismo 5, and it certainly does not disappoint. When played with a force-feedback wheel, the driving experience doesn't get any more realistic than this! Amazingly realistic and as fun as ever!

Decent Demo

Strengths: Graphics, Gameplay

Weakness: Price

This game is really only a demo for the real game. It is very good for its graphics and gameplay but very expensive for such a small game. Worth it for fans maybe or you can get it cheaper.

Nice game

Strengths: Amazing graphics, great presentation of the cars

Weakness: Not enough tracks, physics model (collisions), online multiplayer

Great game, *if* you can get it for less than $40 - because at that price it is not a good value. Biggest complaint I have is that it should have more tracks - how about the Nurburgring, or some F1 tracks! The game has been advertised as a preview, as a demo, for the full game. But for the price, there is not enough here, and what is there, is lacking in functionality. And now the full game is...

Great Racing Game

Strengths: Great graphic, Option between playing cars or motocycles.

Weakness: You have to purchase you own at beggining of the game under 2 player mode.

Amazing graphics, Lots of cars to choose. Sound quality is very good. If you want real time simulation, you MUST get this and I think playing online games is fantastic, especailly with large screen HD TV. You can't go wrong with this game. One thing as a bonus, it comes with motocycles.

$40 Demo

Strengths: Amazing graphics, numbers of car models, works great with force feedback wheels.

Weakness: It is a $40 demo, limited number of stages, can't play with PSN friends online, unable to tune the cars until you cleared all classes.

First of all, the game is not completed. If you want a full game, wait until late 2009. Yet, even though it is a demo, the game shows much more content than some of the other racing games in the PS3. Plus, the graphic is stunning! I feel like driving a real car with a driving force pro. The force feedback is very accurate. But still there are some drawbacks. There is still no car damage. The AI...

Gran Turismo lost its roots

Strengths: Graphics, physics engine, this game is more like a driving simulator

Weakness: Can not modify the car, all of the cars are stock

I am really disappointed that you can't modify the cars, I miss the old GT when you could buy used cars and modify their performance. This game reminds me of MS Flight Simulator... cool, but weak.

Pretty good experience before the REAL one!

Strengths: Gran Turismo in HD and 2009 Nissan GT R

Weakness: Still no damage effect.

First of all, some people say this game is an expensive demo but the fact is, it's not! You get way more cars and options than the real demo available on PSN. And notice the title of the game. They have put "Prologue" for a reason, not just to show off. Anyways, overall a decent GT you can kill time with until GT5 comes out next year. My only complain is that there is still no damage effect on...

GT5 prologue

Strengths: Lots of cars, amazing graphics

Weakness: Not many circuits

This game sure is not lacking cars; however so far (completed the 'A' series of events), it seems to not have many circuits, only half a dozen. I hope more become accessible as I progress, but I have doubts it will be as many as I'd like. For those circuits that are there, though, there is little to complain about. The graphics are great (1080 resolution!). I haven't seen if they can be driven at...

Oversize demo of the real game

Strengths: Graphics, sound, 1080p 60fps, online play

Weakness: Price, frustrating penalty system, cannot host your own game during online play

With the real game still a year away, Sony decides to release this oversize demo for the fans of the series to keep them busy for the time being, for $40. The price is defenitely a bit on the high side. Considering it's only a beefy demo, it should be no more than $25. Price aside, the game feature great graphics overall with smooth framerates, good sound effects and music, upto 16 players online...

The Appetite Before the Main Meal

Strengths: Car Graphics, Sound, Music, Online Play

Weakness: Load times, Clunky presentation elements, Details on tracks

GT5P is a solid racing title. The car graphics and car sounds are excellent. You can tell that a lot of work was spent modeling the cars to make them as realistically looking and sounding as possible. The music tracks are also great. The biggest addition that comes to this GT is online play. The online interface is pretty strange. You get taken into a loading screen where you wait to be matched...
