Unreal II

Strengths: Decent multiplayer

Weakness: Overall generic design

Unreal II is the type of game that looks, sounds, and plays like it should have been released about 5 years ago but there is still some enjoyment to get out of it. A short and average single player mode is only practice for the game's multiplayer combat which is fun, but there are so many better choices out there. The problem is that there is nothing here that stands out and hasn't been done...

Unreal II - The Awakening

Strengths: Another FPS for the XBox, acceptable graphics, OK single player and multiplayer

Weakness: Graphics aren't up to XBox levels, short single player, multiplayer seems like a weak add-on

Unreal II comes to the XBox and it ends up being a middle-of-the-road effort. The graphics are only so-so, not quite being as good as they could be on the XBox. The single player campaign is alright, though a bit on the short side, with some decently designed levels. The multiplayer seems like a bolted-on addition, with only a few maps and a limited number of players. Overall, it's a limited port...

Unreal Boo

Strengths: Missions in single player, vehicles.

Weakness: Bland graphics, short single player, multi-player features are lacking.

I picked this up thinking it was going to be as good as Unreal Championship 2 but it was not. Graphics are not up to Xbox standards and multi-player is not good, especially online. Do yourself a favor, avoid this and pick Unreal Championship 2.

Unreal

Strengths: The Unreal trademark

Weakness: The game, itself

I bought this game hoping that it would live up to the Unreal gameplay of the past, but it just wasn't there. I guess trying to port this onto a console just didn't work out the way the developers had hoped. Save your money for a PC and then buy the PC games.

.

Strengths: good storyline, good shooter action

Weakness: weak graphics

This game is just another average FPS shooter for the Xbox, a system already inundated with shooters, with only a select few really sticking out , i.e. Halo 1 and 2. I guess you could call this game a Halo clone, because it is a "space-based" shooter where you battle evil aliens and try to wipe them all out before they wipe you out. Unreal 1 for the PC was an outstanding game with a great story...

Unreal (how poor it is)

Strengths: Decent co-op mode and multiplayer

Weakness: Nothing but average

Why would you possibly waste your time playing this when you could play one of the dozens of better shooters on the Xbox? The answer is that you wouldn't, unless you're a huge fan of the genre and/ or the Unreal series (in which case, you should play this on the PC, considering the PC version is superior). The multiplayer is fairly enjoyable, but nowhere near the level found in the most recent...

Decent Game, but doesn't hold upto its PC version

Strengths: none

Weakness: none

This is a subpar action/ shooting game that just doesn't do its PC counter part justice. The graphics are decent. The gameplay is decent. The voices and sounds are decent. Nothing exceptional nor extremely bad. Just mediocre. For an action/shooting fan this game may not be anything spectacular but might be worth renting, def. not worth buying.

Unreal II - The Awakening

Strengths: Set in the Unreal universe, cool weapons, large environments.

Weakness: Sometimes you can get lost, fairly dull graphics, average story, below average multiplayer.

Unreal II is the sequel to the PC game from a few years back. You play as a man who used to be a space marine, and is trying to get his job back, you are sent out on various types of missions that range from fetch quests to defending areas. The weapons in the game are ok, but nothing special. The multiplayer aspect of this game is pretty dull and like match types when compared to the far superior...

Unreal II - The Awakening

Strengths: XMP Multiplayer is something new & different, system link & Xbox Live modes

Weakness: Single Player mode is lacking some, could have used some more modes

Unreal II is the sequel to the popular PC game Unreal ported to the Xbox. Unreal II has a Single player campaign mode & a multiplayer mode called XMP. The single player mode it pretty much your standard type of 1 player mode while it's not bad it doesn't really present anything new or out of the ordinary so it's good but not groundbreaking. XMP on the other hand which is the name of the...

Unreal II - The Awakening

Strengths: Good graphics, 2 player split screen

Weakness: Get lost waaay too easily, Bad Story Line

This game was OK. It's probably a renter and not a buyer. You can play 2 player split screen which is really cool, however if one player loses the other its nearly impossible to find where the other is. They should have added the players to the radar or something. All in all, get it cheap or rent it =)
