Panzer Dragoon ORTA Xbox

Strengths: Excellent graphics, Good story, Challenging

Weakness: Somewhat repetitive

If you like rail-shooters, this one is of the best. The graphics are excellent and story is decent for a shooter. If you liked the other games in the Panzer saga, you will probably like this one, but it's still not as good as Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn. Although Orta is more challenging.

Panzer Dragoon ORTA Xbox

Strengths: Beautiful graphics.

Weakness: Can be very hard at times, but for me it's a challenge I like.

It's pretty much a rail shooter but with RPG elements and a degree of decision making on where to move. Great game overall, very fun.

Panzer Dragoon ORTA Xbox

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: No idea of objectives

This is a simple arcade type shoot 'em up. I got bored after the first boss and sold my copy of the game. I didn't get what all the hype was about.

Panzer Dragoon Orta

Strengths: Continues the great story from the previous 3 games

Weakness: Controls are not too intuative

Panzer Dragoon Orta is the 4th game in the Panzer Dragoon story line. After the 3rd game in series (Saga) which was a RPG, Orta goes back to its roots. This is an action shooter where players are on a set path. There are multiple paths to choose from, but the player basically follows a path from A to B. The game supports HDTV and features Dolby Digital Surround which makes for unbelievable...

beautiful game

Strengths: Fantastic Graphics, beautiful setting and storyline

Weakness: no freedom, difficult

This is an amazingly beautiful game and one of the best rail shooters out there. The graphics are fantastic and the characters great. You are on a rail all the time so you don't really have control of what you are doing, which annoyed me slightly. It also is a very hard game and makes you go back and start over at the beginning of the level if you die, which happens often and I definitely got...

Sega Panzer Dragoon ORTA Xbox

Strengths: Great Graphics and Storyline

Weakness: None as long as you like railshooter games

Sega Panzer Dragoon ORTA Xbox is brings the great panzer dragoon series for the Sega Saturn lineage of game to the Xbox. The story is fun despite the limitations of a rail shooter game. The graphics and music are great. About the only nit picks are the length of the game and lack of Xbox Live play, but for the budget price this game can be purchased, there's no reason why not to add this to your...

Destruction is rarely this pretty

Strengths: Gorgeous graphics. Surprising depth for a shooting game.

Weakness: Not everyone's cup of tea. Can be unforgiving.

In Panzer Dragoon Orta, you pilot a dragon and blast things. You have little control over where the dragon goes, but there's still a lot of control. You decide which angle to face and what to target. You control the configuration of your dragon, which you can morph depending on the situation and what you need at the moment. So yes, it is on rails, but it's certainly not lacking. If you had to...

Panzer Dragoon

Strengths: Graphics, Gameplay, Bonus Unlockable Content

Weakness: Music

If you have played the Panzer Dragoon games back on the Sega Saturn, then you would know what this game is truly about. You still control a dragon who is moving on rails. But now there are three different forms your dragon can transform into. Each of the three forms each have their strengths and weakness. This adds a lot of strategy to the gameplay. The graphics are just plain amazing. This game...

The Epic Returns!

Strengths: Incredible graphics. Excellent gameplay. Awesome story. Cool unlockables.

Weakness: almost none.

Panzer Dragoon Orta is the forth Panzer Dragoon game in the series. The previous three games were on the Sega Saturn and gained many fans due to their excellent gameplay and story-telling. Now on the Xbox, Panzer Dragoon shines with drop-dead gorgeous graphics and the same awesome gameplay and sound fans know and love. The game comes loaded with tons of extras on the disc as well. The original...

Sega Sometimes Realizes That it Has Quality Series...

Strengths: Beautiful graphics, fantastic gameplay, moderate to frustrating difficulty, and the inclusion of a few bonuses as well as the original Panzer Dragoon.

Weakness: Only one saved game at a time, starting stages over may prove too annoying to most.

A sequel to a Sega Saturn series that Sega treasured almost above and beyond all else for years? Excellent! It also doesn't hurt that Panzer Dragoon Orta also has an outstanding soundtrack and amazing graphics coupled with the classic gameplay of Panzer Dragoon, albeit with some modern updates. As you've already read many times, Panzer Dragoon Orta is an on-rails shooter, meaning that you are...

Panzer Dragoon Orta

Panzer Dragoon debuted on the Sega Saturn back in 1995. A year later, a sequel, Panzer Dragoon II: Zwei, was released. Two years after that, the extremely hard to find RPG, Panzer Dragoon Saga, was available. Some hail these titles as some of the very best the Saturn had to offer, and they were without a doubt amazing games for their time. Now Smilebit has taken the time to craft a new title:...

Panzer Dragoon Orta

Many games, these days, are largely about two things: experience and mechanics. In varying degrees, these two elements are the opposing points which form our total appreciation of a title. Some games are created almost solely for mechanics -- Virtua Fighter 4 is a good example of that -- and others are created largely as experience: for example, Ico. Depending on which level you choose to enjoy...

Panzer Dragoon Orta

The first three installments in the Panzer Dragoon series are almost legendary in gaming circles. Released for the Sega Saturn, Panzer Dragoon, Zwei, and Saga became some of the coolest titles in the gaming underground. Never really mainstream, the series is almost mythical within the gaming community. Far more people talk about Panzer than have actually played any of the titles. As Sega...
