Product Details of Kung Fu Chaos

Description

Kung Fu Chaos is a funny and broadly appealing brawler game, inspired by the '70s Kung Fu movie era. You fight as one of nine characters (three of which are unlockable), whose looks, moves, and taunts are derived from the movie icons they represent. Your quest for movie stardom places you on the dynamic set, and when the cameras start to role, you fight with over-the-top, Hong-Kong-style combat, including leaps, flying limbs, and multiple-opponent-style action.

Kung Fu Chaos

Strengths: The fights are over-the-top in true 70's style, the cartoon graphics are pretty funny, the finishing moves are pretty funny, good mini-games, good multiplayer

Weakness: "Shao Ting" gets on your nerves, only a few characters available at the outset, single player is a little weak

A fun beat-em-up that's good for the non-blood-and-guts crowd. The cartoon graphics are pretty good to look at, the voice acting is only OK, though "Shao Ting" gets on your nerves with his quips. The multiplayer is frantic and fun, the mini-games are a nice diversion, though the single player is a little weak in comparison. You have to run through the game a few times to unlock all the...

A so-so game that is an homage to old school homage...

Strengths: Great graphics, fast paced gameplay

Weakness: Might get boring after awhile, not a lot of variety

Kung Fu Chaos is a fighting game based on the premise that your trying to create big crazy elaborate fighting scenes for a director of a movie. You may have an intense one on one battle or take on a horde on ninjas all at once. You get to play a variety of fighters each depicting a kung fu movie stereotype in a tasetful or tasteless manner depending on how you see things. The only problem with...

Kung Fu Chaos

Strengths: decent graphics, good party game

Weakness: no online play

Fun, entertaining party game especially with four people multiplayer. There is quite a lot of stuff to be unlocked. You can play one of eight characters who has there own fighting style.

Komedy Kombat

Strengths: Excellent graphics, good mulitplayer and minigames.

Weakness: Lame character design, weak single player mode.

This is the Powerstone or Super Smash Bros for the Xbox, beter graphics than the others but weaker and less innovative gameplay. I found the single player mode to be fun with a forced scrolling romp through environments, sort of a arena combat with a slight platform feel. The minigames are almost better than 1 player mode but this game is best played mulitplayer. Aside from really well done and...

Make Fighting!

Strengths: Cool Characters and stages. Good humor. Great multiplayer modes

Weakness: can be challenging for younger players. No online.

Kung Fu Chaos is the Xbox's answer to the Super Smash Bros. and Powerstone series of games. Up to four players can fight on screen at once in hectic battles across wacky stages. There are lots of modes of play in this game. The best is the 4 player multiplayer mode which makes it a great party game to play with friends. There is no online mode though which would have been perfect for this type of...

Kung Fu Chaos

Strengths: Spoof of 1970's kung fu flicks, beautiful cartoon graphics, unique scrolling environments, excellent multiplayer fighting action

Weakness: Iritating stereotypical narrator, generic player characters, bland voice acting, single player campaign gets old quickly, no online support,

As a wannabe action hero, you must brawl your way through mini-games and hordes of ninjas bent on your destruction through six unique environments, all while an annoying director films you for posterity's sake. You have a choice of uninspired playable characters, but they all play about the same. The single player campaign is also short and repetitive, but the multiplayer game and detailed...

Kung Fu Chaos

Strengths: Quirky and fun, easy to pick up and play, humorous voice-overs

Weakness: Mainly entertains as a party game, no Xbox Live

The gameplay in Kung Fu Chaos (KFC for short) is a cross between Power Stone and Fuzion Frenzy, with comical characters, interesting levels, and a lighthearted kung-fu movie theme. KFC's multiplayer aspect is probably its main draw, supporting up to four players at once via free-for-all battles or team matches. Single-player is quite entertaining, too, complete with various extras to unlock. The...

Powerstone was a great game so if you want this homage to it, here it is. Otherwise some may want more depth and it's demanding on newcomers.

Kung Fu Chaos

As an action movie junkie, I grew up watching the classic 1970s kung fu movies on the BBC and enjoying every campy minute of the badly dubbed, high-kicking and high-flying action that was Kung Fu Theater. So you can imagine the smile Kung Fu Chaos put on my face when I first heard of this game that spoofs these movies in all their badly filmed glory. Kung Fu Chaos allows gamers to be the star of...

Kung Fu Chaos

Mixed bag is one of the absolute worst clichés making the rounds in online gaming journalism right now. But never has a bag been quite so mixed as Kung Fu Chaos. On one hand, it's an absolutely fun fighting / brawling / minigame mélange that will doubtless liven up the living rooms of plenty of Xbox gamers with four controllers and three friends. On the other, it's home to some of the most...

Kung Fu Chaos

Sony and Nintendo have realized something that newcomer Microsoft still doesn't quite get -- Don't release crappy games unless you know they will sell. Nintendo first-party games are easily the best on the system and though Sony releases fewer first-party titles than Nintendo and Microsoft, their first-party fare is generally quite good. Microsoft, on the other hand, has green-lighted and...
