Brute Force

Strengths: Graphics are good, multiplayer is pretty well done, single player is a mixed bag, sound and voice are good

Weakness: No XBox Live support, designed more towards single player than multiplayer

A pretty good third person shooter that gives some nice variety with the four different types of characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. The maps give you some need to think out your assaults and mission objectives, as some of them require you to think before you move forth. The multiplayer is well done enough, though it seems to be more suited to the single player design. XBox...

Brute Force

Strengths: The guns aliens and lots and lots of gore.

Weakness: carry only 2 guns

this is the best game i ever played even better than halo 1. the graphics is cool but the control is to easy. some levels are really annoying and its hard to kill the bosses, but you'll get through it eventually. the gernades are tight, they have Frag Gernades, Sonic Gernades, Energy Gernades, and mimes (Sentries). they got lots of guns on the field. the guns are tight you can choose a minigun,...

Brute Force

Strengths: Storyline

Weakness: Graphics, game play, sound

Brute Force definitely did not live up to the hype. Made by the same creators as Halo, this game was supposed to deliver an exceptional experience and bridge the gap until Halo 2 came out. Unfortunately, this is not even close to the case. The only thing that was decent in this game was the storyline. Everything else was an utter disappointment. The game play was very repetitive and the graphics...

Not for everyone, and by everyone I mean me.

Strengths: Decent enough graphics, sound and control

Weakness: Lacked a compelling, mustplay feature or originality.

I just could not get into Brute Force. This may have been because nothing about it really excited me, the entire experience felt bland. Perhaps I have not given it a full shot, having continually been discouraged each time I picked up the controller. reading the other reviews, perhaps the multiplayer would be more enjoyable. But with other multiplayer shooters out there, like Halo 2, Brute Force...

Brute Force

Strengths: Graphics, Multiplayer gameplay, and characters all have different abilities.

Weakness: Graphics get worse with the more players playing, theres a balance issue between the characters, the Halo hype killed it.

Brute Force is a squad based 3rd person perspective shooter for XBOX. You get to play as any of the four main characters which all have different abilities. You start of with Tex and slowly gain the others as you go through the stages. The game plays sort of like Halo due to having a similar control scheme. There is a balance issue with the playable characters when you get closer to the end. You...

Brute Force

Strengths: Very polished graphics. Excellent multiplayer.

Weakness: Not very compelling story. No vehicles. No online.

Brute Force is a 3rd person squad based shooter from Microsoft. You control a team of 4 characters, each with their own unique strengths and abilities. The overall look of the game is very polished. The audio in the game is also well done even though I didn't really noticed the background music as much as the sound effects. The single player campaign is not too exciting but the multiplayer modes...

Brute Force

Strengths: Command/control an elite four-person assault squad, challenging third-person shooting action, decent graphics, quality voice acting, a sequel is on the way!

Weakness: Lackluster AI, linear gameplay, repetitive enemy models and environments, limited replay value

Brute Force never made the kind of impact on consumers that publisher Microsoft had hoped. Frequently hyped as a new Halo, Brute Force's third person squad-based gameplay is actually quite different from your average FPS. You command and control (one at a time, obviously) four members of an elite interplanetary assault squad on various alien other worldly missions. Unfortunately, your squad's AI...

Brute Force

Strengths: Reasonable interesting single player game. Decent play mechanics. Different squad members add much variety.

Weakness: Friendly AI just can't keep up on harder difficulties. No LIVE multiplayer. Offline multiplayer is not much fun.

The marketing push called it the next Halo. It most certainly was not. AI just isn't advanced enough to make the squad experience fun. They end up chewing through all your medkits (except for one, in a vain attempt to seem thrifty) and dying because they don't respect their natural abilities. Your dimunitive stealth master will go toe-to-toe with huge foes if you don't keep a close eye on her....

Brute Force

Strengths: System link multiplayer, Single player game is done well

Weakness: No Xbox Life Support, squad-based tactics don't work very well

Brute Force is a third-person shooter game with squad-based tactical elements mixed into it. You control a team of four unique commandos with unique attributes, special abilities and weapon options. Although Brute Force is a 3rd-person shooter & Halo is a 1st-person shooter the controls are almost exactly the same and anyone who has played Halo before will feel right at home with Brute Force. You...

Brute Force - Xbox

Not the Halo beater it was hyped up to be but good action, good music and a great co-op game make this worth a look.

Brute Force (xbox)

Seeing as how we'll all have to wait until next year for Bungie's incredibly sweet Halo 2 it occurred to me that I just might be playing one of the better Xbox games we'll see until then. Brute Force offers a solid squad-based action experience that's simpler to play than the likes of the Tom Clancy games, but that's just as much fun in its own right.

Brute Force

With every great video game saga, there must be an in-between game. An in-between game is one that comes in-between the release of two leading games. For example, in between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII, PlayStation owners got Xenogears and Parasite Eve. Whether we like it or not, the Final Fantasy VIIs of the world cannot be developed overnight. That is why Bungie is still working...

Brute Force (xbox)

Digital Anvil's Brute Force had the distinction of being the first Microsoft Game Studio title announced after the launch of Xbox back in 2001. It was the game that was supposed to make you say I loved Halo so this one will be just as good! It took several delays and returns to the drawing board but Brute Force has finally made it to the Xbox and in fine shape. It looks the part of an Xbox first...
