Product Details of Worm's Blast GameCube

Description

The worms have conquered the PC and invaded the Game Boy Advance?now it?s time to take the action to the home consoles. TETRIS-style puzzle gaming at its very best, WORMS BLAST finds you sitting in a boat, shooting at cells that fall from the sky. The more cells you shoot, the more space you?ll have to continue your work. Loaded with strange power-ups and special weapons, WORMS BLAST boasts a unique blend of white-knuckle action and utter hilarity. The ?Worms Universe? has never been so funny, as peripheral characters from earlier WORMS games have more prominent roles here; Calvin the Super Sheep, Ethel the Old Woman, Stavros Skunk, and Rocky the Concrete Donkey are just a few of the participants. The gameplay is simple enough to learn, but the game gets truly unique in its array of wacky power-ups and bizarre weaponry. The single-player action is absolutely exhilarating, and the dual-player modes are brutal.

This game can best be decribed as a 'based-on' concept. There is little to do with the other games in terms of gameplay. Gone are the humorous voices, team play is M.I.A., fun filled weapons of mass and silly...

Worms Blast

According to the website of British development studio Team 17, Worms and its sequels have sold more than seven-million units since the franchise's late-1995 debut -- but the vast majority of those sales were in Europe, where the game was created and originally released for the late, great Commodore Amiga before being ported to other formats. The Worms franchise has never done well in the U.S.,...

Worms Blast

Many years ago developer Team 17 came up with a concept: turn-based warfare set on a battlefield of crumbling ground. Only, to evoke a little lightheartedness, you played at worms. Thus the Worms franchise was born, and it has gone on to become extremely popular on both the PC and consoles. It was only a matter of time before the company branched out the series into new genres. It has already...
