Mercury Meltdown Revolution

Strengths: Nifty puzzler action for a great price

Weakness: N/A

Now this is the way to release a "casual" game for the Nintendo Wii system. Though this is a port of a PSP title it has been enhanced with Wii controller functionality and of course the full graphics capabilities of the home console. Also, and most importantly, it was released at a budget price of $20. In Mercury Meltdown you control a blob of mercury either by tilting the remote or, thankfully,...

Creative game play, but not enough for a 17 year old

Strengths: Interesting physics simulation

Weakness: Too childlike for my 17 year old godson

I bought this game for my godson who got a Wii for Christmas. This game was very highly rated on many sites, so I figured it was a low risk. The game is reminiscent of the old labyrinth game that I used to play as a child, but instead of navigating a silver ball around a wooded maze, one needs to move a virtual blob of mercury on a 3D maze. The game play is quite creative... the mercury blob can...

nice wii touch

Strengths: added wii component makes the game fun

Weakness: graphics are poor and sometimes the controls don't respond

The great thing about this game is that if you get dizzy with 3d games, you can zoom far out and still experience the fun. this is an affordable and enjoyable game but not for multi players.

Good Game. Great Value.

Strengths: Great use of Wii remote. Good learning curve. Fun puzzle game. Lots of levels. Low price.

Weakness: Can get frustrating, later levels are very difficult.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a fun puzzle game that will keep you busy for many hours. The Wii remote is put to great use in this game. Simply tilt the remote in the direction you want the mercury to move. The puzzles are simple at first but get very difficult in the later stages. In fact, they may get too difficult and frustrating in the final stages. Other than the difficulty ramping up...

Good Game for the Price

Strengths: Fun use of the Wii controller.

Weakness: One Player Game

Good game for young and old. I enjoy playing the game as well as my six year old. This game is fun to play using the Wii-mote controller. Excellent game for the price.

Nice Fun Game

Strengths: Easy to learn; great tutorial; easy to play; fun; challenging

Weakness: Some levels can be challenging; not "thrilling" but definitely fun; "world" system is confusing

This is a good game that anyone in the family will be able to play and enjoy. The tutorial is really good and is a must. The game is fun and, so far, pretty much the right amount of challenge. If you are a perfectionist and need to save all your mercury on each level you are in for a big challenge though. The

Great Great game

Strengths: controls are nice Entertaining

Weakness: maybe difficult for younger kids.

This is a great game. Fun for the entire family, even though younger kids may have difficulty completing the puzzles at times. It's very entertaining and we've played it for hours without really getting tired of it. The controls are nice, and very well thought out.

Great low price game

Strengths: Price and chanlleges and different stages

Weakness: Visuals affect can be better

Quality game great for the price and hours and hours of entertainment. It does take some time for you to get use to the controls but besides that the games is great and fun to play.

Mercury Meltdown

Weakness: None.

Good addition to game library

Strengths: Easy to pickup. Continues to Challenge.

Weakness: None.

I read the positive reviews about this game and picked up a copy myself. The most notable feature is how you tilt the wiimote to control the mercury around obstacles. I like to take my Wii with me when I travel over the holidays, so others can experience the fun of this console. This game just adds some more variety to the mix. I generally only buy mini-games that people can easily pickup at any...

Mercury Meltdown Revolution

This year has provided a lot of great budget games, and while The Orange Box is the be-all end-all of gaming deals, Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a considerable game with a lot of meat on its bone for $20. Players will find themselves controlling a cute little blob of mercury around many different puzzles, ranging from simple “roll em’ to the goal” levels to excruciatingly difficult mind...
