ESPN NFL 2K5

Strengths: ESPN 25th anniversary mode - Playing through classic NFL moments is great, sweet football experience, better overall presentation than Madden

Weakness: Franchise mode not as strong as Madden's, the last NFL2K game thanks to EA, Carmen Elektra's team is all All-Stars and almost impossible to win without using All-Stars against her

I don't often play too many sports game, but ESPN NFL 2K5 really captivated me. I've had it for almost a year now and I always pick it up and play a game or two every so often. It really is some sweet action. My favorite feature in 2k5 that other games don't have, it the first person football. It sounds odd at first, but when executed its actually quite a fun experience. Give this game a shot,...

ESPN NFL 2K5

Strengths: price; graphics; presentation; gameplay; extensive franchise mode

Weakness: extensive franchise mode makes it hard to play just a single season; "crib" feature kinda lame; 1st person mode really just a gimmick

This is simply a great football game. The visuals and ESPN presentation give an unmatched feeling of realism. Game controls are tight, and running the ball is not only possible but useful (for once). The NFL 25th anniversary mode allows you to reenact great moments in NFL history such as "The Catch" and the "Heidi" game. Although as a Browns fan it was a little hard for me to recreate "The Drive"...

ESPN NFL 2K5

Strengths: Outstanding Value Great gameplay Great graphics

Weakness: Haven't found any yet

Sega ESPN NFL 2K5 is a fantastic game. I would say on par with Madden 2005. However, there is a big difference. One cost $19.99 (Sega ESPN NFL 2K5) and the other costs $49.99 (Madden 2005). With both games being the same playwise, cost is easily the deciding factor. If you had to get 1 football game, I would recommend Sega ESPN NFL 2K5 no contest.

ESPN NFL 2K5

Strengths: Excellent game; amazing visuals

Weakness: Its not Madden

Terrific game to rival Madden. Computer Artifical Intelligence is much improved over previous edition. And the price! $19.99 brand new. For this price, and you can find it cheaper used; this is a no-brainer. Check out the superb review that this game recieved on Gamespot. www.gamespot.com/xbox/...

Cheap and Fun

Strengths: It has a lot of features, graphics are good, fun first person view.

I don't play football games much so I can't compare this to Madden. All I will say is that ESPN NFL 2k5 will keep me busy for a long time. It's easy to play and has extra features like unlocking prizes for your "crib" and there's a fun first person view. I have played the other versions of the NFL 2k series but I don't pay enough attention to the smaller details to notice much difference.

Excellent NFL game

Strengths: Different difficulty modes, first person playing, franchise mode.

Weakness: Some movements could be a little more fluid.

I've played a few football titles here and there. Nothing special, but enough to know what I like and what I don't. I've had a chance to play both Madden 05 and this game and I would definitely recommend 2k5 over Madden. 2k5 gives you many of the same options, just as much difficulty and ease (depending on your difficulty settings), and the ability to go back and play several classic scenarios...

Lightyears ahead of madden

Strengths: Realism. Depth. Controls. Looks. Sounds.

Weakness: Rosters out of date. Can get some unusually high stats at times.

This is the best football game ever. No doubt. It revolutionized player control, presentation, looks, sound, speed, realism and fun. Its not perfect but its the closest man has ever come. I had never played the 2k series before 2k5 and never wanted to. Picked it up on a lark and since have never touched another football game. Yes, Ive skipped every new version of anything thrown at me since. So...

Great game at a great price

Strengths: + graphics + very deep for NFL fans + easy to pick up and play + price + presentation

Weakness: - crib - last in the series

NFL ESPN 2k5 is a fantastic game. For newbies like myself, it's easy to pick up and play. For veternans of the series there is Franchise mode that is quite extensive and basically lets you run your football team. The presentation is also very nicely done, much better than the presentation in NBA ESPN. Commentary, half time highlights are all done exceptionally well. My complaint was that I wish...

Best football game availble

Strengths: Graphics, options, commentary, and gameplay.

Weakness: TO on the cover.

ESPN NFL 2K5 is the best football game availble. Its main feature is playing games and creating your own custom crib by paying for things with your reward points. This is a new concept for a football game and it is extremely fun and better than just playing a regular season. Other than that the graphics, sound, and gameplay are all better than Madden. The only downfall is TO on the cover. Buy...

Boom! Madden just got served.

Strengths: Better than Madden, good learning curve, ESPN presentation, Chris Berman is in it, cheap price point

Weakness: Chris Berman's combover, Do we really need Funkmaster Flex talking trash to us?

This is the year Madden went down. Sega and 2K games deliver on their promise to beat Madden. The interface is great, and the players response seems quicker than Madden. The crib is a decent after thought however the "celebrity" gamers are more annoying than anything else. If you want to play football this year, go with this one.

ESPN NFL 2K5

Several weeks ago, there were rumors flying around that Sega’s latest football game, ESPN NFL 2K5 was going to be released at the budget friendly $19.99 price point. Many people thought that this is just another rouse, because there is no way a developer would release a brand new game, unless it has serious quality control issues, at this price point. Well you can put all your fears aside about...

ESPN NFL 2K5 (ps2)

We all love bargains, right? Any time you can get a quality product at a good price, you can walk away from the deal happy. It was no surprise, then, that gamers everywhere were overjoyed when Sega announced that the latest version of their popular football franchise, ESPN NFL 2K5 would be released for a piddling $19.95. There were some grumblings that perhaps the game wasn't as good as previous...

ESPN NFL 2K5 (ps2)

There has never been a better $20 game than ESPN NFL 2K5. End of story. For the price of a two-week rental, you can buy a footballer that is every bit as deep, feature-packed and addictively playable as Madden. For the price of a night at the movies, you can own a game with great graphics, realistic football action, compelling and revolutionary sports gaming concepts, and an extensive online...
