Product Details of Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales

Description

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales starts when the Final Fantasy black magician brings a picture book onto the Chocobo farm. This book is actually home to the great devil Bebuzu, and it sucks the entire farm into its pages! Chocobo heads on an adventure with the white and black magicians in order to stop Bebezu from reviving himself to full form. Developed exclusively for the Nintedo DS, the game invites players to engage in dozens of minigames and microgames as they turn on the next chapter in the Final Fantasy frachise. You're free to move about through the game's picture book influenced world. Encounter an enemy, and you find yourself in a card battle, referred to officially as a "Pop-Up Duel." You and your enemies take turns sending out cards to perform attacks.

A Fun Title Perfect for Younger Gamers

Strengths: Fun; Very cute; Great replay value (due to the minigames and microgames); Innovative use of Nintendo DS hardware

Weakness: Short and very simple; Limited use of the pop-up duel system

I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, and I'm always on the lookout for fun Nintendo DS games, so I decided to pick this title up. In Chocobo Tales, you take on the role of a young chocobo who is called upon to save his fellow chocobos and the entire world from an evil being. And how do you do that? By playing minigames, of course! The storyline is fairly linear. You progress through four...

FFF: Chocobo Tales

Strengths: Fun mini games

Weakness: Short game

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales is a fun game in which Chocobo attempts to rescue his friends through mini games and card battles. You can acquire cards through mini-games as well as during the course of the main story. This game is fun and entertaining. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this game was crafted. It is definitely a buy if mini games are your cup of tea.

Final Fantasy - Chocobo Tales (DS)

Strengths: Enjoyable minigames, good use of the DS controls, enjoyable storyline

Weakness: More a minigame collection than anything else, no replay value

Final Fantasy: Chocobo Tales is the story of a chocobo, a Final Fantasy bird used as a riding animal, as he tries to rescue his family and friends. This is done through a number of minigames, some of which include card battles. It's one of the more interesting uses of the DS controls, including the mic. The storyline is fun, though a little on the children-friendly side. Once done with the game,...

Final fantasy

Strengths: fun mini game

Weakness: too short

Unlike the regular Final Fantasy, this game includes tons of mini game like Mario Party. This makes it very fun for some portable gaming. My only complain is that it is a bit short, so you will complete it in a few days.

Good fun for all ages

Strengths: Good variety of minigames; interesting card battles; good replay value

Weakness: A little short; more card battles would have been nice

Chocobo Tales is a game set in the Final Fantasy universe and follows a chocobo as he attempts to rescue his captured friends. Often, this story unfolds through the use of minigames and card battles. The majority of the cards that you utilize in your card battles are acquired through achieving certain milestones or ranks in minigames, but many are found through the normal course of gameplay. To...

Let's Barbecue Some Chocobo.

Strengths: Interesting Juvenile version of the FF Universe. Card Battling Gwame. While Kid friendly cnma entertain adults.

Weakness: Basically just a collection of mini games, which I found unexpected.

Chocobo Tales is a Good game. It's just nmot what I expected. I knew it was card battling, but I didn't expect as many minigames and how the game progressed. It was a suprise. Pleasant in that it's a good game. Maybe my view is skewed because I was thinking it was a somewhat different game. But overall it plays well. Soem mini-games are hit and miss and some card battles are niot that...

Honk if you like minigames

Strengths: Large variety of minigames to play, card battles against in-game enemies and online

Weakness: De-emphasized card battling, mic required for some minigames

If you like DS-style minigames, Chocobo Tales just might be your cup of tea. Perhaps in defiance of its Final Fantasy tie-in, there's about zero role-playing here--your time in the game is divided between minigames (which both progress you through the game and earn you cards) and card-battling. If you don't like the idea of playing a number of DS-based minigames, stay far away--but those who do...

Better Than Expected

Strengths: Good graphics and music, some fun minigames

Weakness: Some minigames are not as fun.

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales is a surprisingly fun and rewarding experience for fans of minigames and of the Final Fantasy series. The localization, as always, is top notch, and the game is flooded with references to past Final Fantasy games. The minigames are pretty good overall, although a few are boring and difficult. In addition, some minigames must be played multiple times in order to...

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales

In the Final Fantasy universe, long have the winged creatures known as chocobos been a way heroes, such as Cloud Strife as well as Tidus, move around the map far more quickly than on foot. Raised on farms to be used similarly to horses, these cute creatures merely play an almost insignificant role in the epic adventures of past Final Fantasy games. Yet in Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales for...
