Wario Master of Disguise

Strengths: Sidescrolling action featuring Wario!

Weakness: DS touchscreen use is sub-par, especially for a Nintendo-branded title, minigames uninspired

I had high hopes for Wario Master of Disguise. The game that resulted is OK, but nothing spectacular and there are far better games on the Nintendo DS. You play as the evil and off-beat Wario and make your way through 2D sidescrolling levels. The gimmick here is that Wario can change forms to use different powers. That is all well and good but the downside is that these powers are activated by...

Wario: Master of Disquise

Strengths: a different twist on a platformer

Weakness: drawing accurately enough to get the costume you want

Another new “platformer” with Wario as your main character which tends to bring out a bit more humor than most other titles. The gameplay is a bit different than most platformers as the level is really a maze where you draw and use costumes as needed. However, it’s pretty straightforward when to use the different disguises Wario and his wand conjure up. The toughest part of this game for me...

Wario is back

Strengths: Good Wario Humor

Weakness: Tricky Control

Wario is back on the DS again. If you like the Wario humor from other Wario game, you will find it in this game. The humor in this game is just as good as other Wario game. My main problem is the control. It is very tricky to do so much with the stylus. The mini games are fun but not as good as the mini games from wario ware.

Not Bad..... Not Great.....

Strengths: Fully uses dual screen of DS and Stylus Great price

Weakness: Confusing and hard to control with Stylus Fail to deliver any upgrades from old games

We all know the great Wario games from previous Nintendo systems. Wario like Mario has lots of game under the characters name, and there has been many big hits. However, I think this won't be one of those Wario hits from before. The game it self is lot like other Mario games; 2-d adventure game, but it involves using stylus to draw things and solve stages that require writing things on the touch...

Fairly entertaining Wario platformer

Strengths: Various Wario outfits are fun to use

Weakness: Many of the minigames become tedious

Wario: Master of Disguise is more of a run 'n jump game, similar to the old Warioland games on the Gameboy. Here, Wario dons various outfits (Cosmic Wario, Thief Wario, etc), each with different abilities that help him through the game. Unfortunately, you are forced to play minigames to advance in the game which quickly becomes tedious. Compared to past Warioland games, this game is fun but a bit...

Fun... and Silly...

Strengths: Cool storyline, lots of chances to use the DS to advantage with the different disguies

Weakness: Repetitive and can't skip the in between dialog and levels stories.

This games keeps my attention for a while with the silly storyline, and the changing of the disguises keeps the game play in check , but repetitive dialogs between the characters made the game a bit of a chore when you wanted to continue on and not wait for the dialog to finish. The game can be challenging, but at times too repetitive for my taste.

Wario game more money to hunt

Strengths: Average platformer

Weakness: stylus recognition

This is one of the most funny dark humor platformer. This Wario series for the DS is quite challenging for obtaining each of the treasures and backtracking its good if you want to collect all treasures. The functionality of the stylus for using the disguises is very good except that the stylus recognition in the game is shabby. But overall this game satisfy your urge to play platformer games.

Wario: Master Of Disguise (DS)

Strengths: Good Wario humor, good dual-screen use, decent platformer

Weakness: Imprecise controls, somewhat repetitious

Wario: Master of Disguise is Wario's first platformer on the DS. It uses both screen in a very useful way, so the stylus control doesn't feel tacked-on. The stylus controls are a bit imprecise, so it makes drawing some of the sequences a bit difficult. The game is a good solid 2D platformer, and the diverse costumes add some different avenues to the gameplay. Wario humor is always a good touch in...

Wario: Master of Disguise

Strengths: using the stylus to change costumes and use abilities is an interesting concept

Weakness: stylus controls are also inaccurate in situations where you have to draw quickly

I highly recommend this DS Game. With this game you use the touch screen to change costumes and aim Wario magical abilities. Your job is to get Wario through a different mazelike tomb, jimmy open any treasure chests you find, and deal with whatever creatures or bosses you encounter. Thanks to the wand, Wario can change into any of eight different disguises, which afford him unique abilities.
