Lunar Knights DS

Strengths: Lunar Knights is a great dungeon crawler with good graphics and sounds.

Weakness: The space battles are difficult.

Lunar Knights is dungeon crawler with role playing elements mixed in. You can rest, buy and sell supplies, upgrade your weapons, and interact with other characters. Most of your time will be spent in the dungeons, which is where the vampires dwell. You are introduced to Lucien and Aaron. You will be able to swap out the two characters. Lucien is armed with a special dark sword, making him best...

Lunar Knights

Strengths: The story is engaging and well told. The music is amazingly catchy.

Weakness: The space battles are difficult.

Lunar Knights is dungeon crawler with some light role-playing game elements. There's an overworld where you can rest, buy and sell supplies, upgrade your weapons, and interact with other characters. But most of your time will be spent in the world's various dungeons, which is where the vampires and their freaky gallery of accomplices dwell. You're initially introduced to Lucien and Aaron in their...

Lunar Knights (DS)

Strengths: Two-sided gameplay, great dungeon crawler, good graphics and sounds

Weakness: Space battles difficult

Lunar Knights is the third game in the Boktai family of games, though this is the first game on the DS. It uses two characters, one that draws power from the moon and the other from the sun/light, though unlike Boktai, there's no sun sensor to make day or night. They're both used to try and kill vampires, working their way through dungeon settings. Each character needs their element to power up...

Boktai for the DS

Strengths: 2 playable characters, fun gameplay, weather system (instead of the solar sensor in the GBA games)

Weakness: Some repetition in the dungeon crawling, changes in character names (in the US) damages continuity

Lunar Knights plays very much like its GBA counterparts Boktai. However, Lunar Knights expands on these games and adds a second playable character (who focuses on melee attacks instead of ranged attacks). The addition of additional terrenials adds to the enjoyment of the game play. The game utilizes a weather system to allow for more accessibility to players while keeping with some of the game...

not perfect, but pretty fun

Strengths: lots of action, cool video cutscenes, solid story, good graphics

Weakness: cheesy voice acting, difficulty ramps up near the end, respawning enemies, space battle controls

Lunar Knights reminded me of the old Zelda games, but more so in the gameplay than in the puzzles and exploration. As a top down action game there's plenty of fun to be had; playing with both a gunner and a swordsman gives some variety while fending off a constant stream of enemies. The space battles are a change of pace with the player using only the stylus to move, attack and defend with their...

Promising game riddled by numerous game design flaws

Strengths: Two characters to play and switch between on the fly, decent graphics.

Weakness: Useless weather system, Save System not for Portables, Space battles boring, repetitive gameplay, stiff controls, Horrible voice acting

So yeah, another Kojima productions game. While I enjoy the MGS games this one was a real stinker. It was mildly amusing but extremely frustrating throughout. As a portable game I often played it in small spurts of 3-5 minutes at a time. However you can only save every new zone, and sometimes zones last 10 minutes or more. To make matters worse there are no checkpoints in the space battles...

A title that once I played it, I WANTED IT!

Strengths: Easy game that can be quite difficult at points, especially in the space battles! I LOVE IT!

Weakness: None that I can see! Maybe a bit confusing in relation to the shopping.

Easy game that can be quite difficult at points, especially in the space battles! I LOVE IT! Really love almost everything about this game, even though the shopping is a bit confusing. Love the game play even if the leaders are easy if save your energy. Definitely worth playing and quite unique (especialyl whne you can swing between gunslinger and knight! :))

Lotsa fun

Strengths: Dual character system, upgradeable weapons, innovative weather/time system

Weakness: Poor use of touch screen, badly designed space battles

I never played Boktai on the gameboy advance but I enjoyed Lunar Knights enough that I'm going to give its prequel a serious look. In Lunar Knights, you alter between two characters, one a melee specialist who draws his power from the moon and one who uses guns and draws his power from the sun. Power guages allow you to use special element-based power attacks which can only be recharged at the...

Best hack and slash game for the Nintendo DS

Strengths: Great graphics, Sound, and Gameplay

Weakness: Just the ability to use a sun sensor from old boktai games.

This game is one of the most waited in my collection. It has stealth, elemental summon and customizable weapons. With the great involvement from the producer of Metal Gear. This game has a unique feature when doing dual slot play with the add on sensor from he Boktai series. This game entertaining features with the stylus and the usage of the MIC. The game is very straight forward and has the...

A Lunar Landing.

Strengths: Great Action RPG. Nice setting and story. Builds on previous games. Great fun.

Weakness: No sunlight sensor.

Lunar Knights is the DS sequel to the Boktai Games. In Boktai you had to fight vampires and there as actially a light sensor at the top of the game cartridge so when you played, the sunlight (or lack of it) outside would affect the game. I think you can put in one of the older Boktai cartridges and use that sensor, but I haven't tried that yet. In general, this is a great game with a great...

Lunar Knights

Do you remember the Boktai games for the Game Boy Advance? This franchise had a very unique premise because it relied on a sun senor on the cartridge. Even though this was a highly innovative idea, in the end it proved very troublesome, because gamers had to be in the sunlight in order for their characters to be powered up enough to defeat some of the tougher bosses. Well, the spiritual successor...
