You too can play surgeon

Strengths: Gameplay, story

Weakness: Controls can be off at times

Trauma Center: Second Opinion is a surgeon sim for Nintendo Wii. You play as Dr. Derek Stiles a surgeon operating on patients with various problems. The game really uses the wii-mote to engross you in the gameplay. Like stitching up a patients wounds or picking out shards of glass stuck in a patient. Only problem I had was controls take some time getting used to the precision needed in doing some...

You need to play this game, STAT!

Strengths: Looks great. Great story. Fantastic controls. Lots of fun.

Weakness: Can be hard. Slightly repetative if you've played it for the DS

Trauma Center is a perfect fit for the Wii as a release game. If you played the Ds version you know that you star as a young doctor who trys to save lives from a mysterious plague called GUILT. Where you used the stylus on the DS, you use the Wii Remote to perform your surguries on the Wii. Some of the content is recycled from the first game. But learning the new controls makes it slightly fresh...

One Of My Favorite Games I Own

Strengths: The overall gameplay and intenss action secquensis are not bogged down by the somtimes lenghthy cut secens which in most games can be very boring but in this game I belive the designers did a nice job

Weakness: the lack of extra missions after comleteing a chapter. there was alot of the game completely centerd around the main charecter nice but repeditive

I really enjoyed this game and would and have recommend it to my friends i give it a 5 out of 5 so if you have the money get it if you don't have the money then save up for it and if you cant do that then sell something just get this very intense WII opener

Great Game!

Strengths: Great gameplay, can get you sucked in quickly.

Weakness: At first, controls can be a bit awkward, but it is easy to get use to.

Trauma Center is a game that I enjoy playing. I have recommended it to several friends who also like it. It's a game that is easy to learn and that is fun to play. It also has good replay value. I have gone back to all of the operations to at least get an A, or the coveted S (Master Surgeon) on all the levels.

Help Me!

Strengths: unique gameplay, 3 difficulty modes

Weakness: remake of ds version, nothing new

This game is just like the Nintendo DS version which was kind of disappointing if you already owned it. It brought nothing new, except the ability to display it on a television screen. Even though the game was a port of the ds version, the ability to select the difficulty level was very helpful!! Without that option, I wouldnt be able to fully experience the game, as it was extremely difficult...

DS port better on Wii!

Strengths: Excellent and intuitive controls improve upon the DS experience

Weakness: Even with additional voice work, production values are similar to the DS version.

Trauma Center was an excellent (but ridiculously hard) game on the DS, making great use of the unique touch-screen controls. In making the move to the Wii, everything remains intact, and then some. The use of motion controls makes the game much more immersive. Using the analog stick to choose instruments on the fly speeds up the game a bit. In addition, an easier difficulty level was provided...

Perform Surgery on the Wii

Strengths: Great use of the wiimote.

Weakness: Not a lot of replay value. Some controls seem glitchy.

For me, Trauma Center is one of those games that I never really feel like playing, but once I pick it back up, I realize just how fun it is. In the game, you use the wiimote to perform various surgical procedures--cutting with a scalpel, applying antiseptic, and even using a defibrilator. For the most part the wiimote controls work very well, but there are a few frustrating techniques where the...

Playing Doctor!

Strengths: Excellent Gameplay, Excellent Sound Effects, Beautiful Comic Like Graphics

Weakness: None

The Story is deep, a little to deep at times. I found myself skipping the dialogue trying to get to the next patient as quickly as possible. Controls are simple after learning which instrument does what, you'll be killing tumors and stiching up patients like a real MD, well sort of. I wish there was spoken dialogue to keep my interest in the story instead of reading text after text.

Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Strengths: Remake of DS version with added surgical tools and a new character, great showcase of the Wii's unique controls

Weakness: Steep difficulty curve, some glitches with control detection

Trauma Center: Second Opinion is an enhanced version of Trauma Center: Under the Knife, for Nintendo DS. This version adds a new playable character in a handful of new side missions, as well as new tools such as a defibrillator. Gameplay is fun and works very well with the Wii Remote in place of the DS stylus, and selecting tools with the nunchuck is also very handy. On the downside, new players...

Trauma Center great launch title!

Strengths: Intuitive controls, great colorful and sparkling graphics, you get to be a surgeon with no medical school debt!

Weakness: Anime-like storyline is cheesy and lame, the characters are displayed using no animation, the virus enemy is called GUILT (seriously, you can think of something better)

Trauma Center is a great game for the Wii. It demonstrates the fun and uniqueness of the controls. Also the idea of being a surgeon with the controls is not something you would think of outright, however they are intuitive and you can jump into the game after 30 min of learning. Good game, only drawbacks is the bad storyline and lack of animation in the graphics.

Trauma Center - Second Opinion

"Doctor, his arm is bleeding!" "Doctor, his tumor is growing!" "Doctor, he's crashing!" "Doctor! Doctor!!" The first Trauma Center brought innovation and creativity to a handheld that's known for having both. When the Nintendo Wii – the quintessential home version of the DS – was officially unveiled in May, it was announced that Trauma Center would be operating its way to that console as...
