Atlus sequel to the popular strategy rpg

Strengths: New improved graphics, exciting interesting storyline. Highly addictive gameplay.

Weakness: High learning curve, for newcomers to this series.

Disgaea 2 is the most anticipated strategy game of the year. With lots high hopes, in many many ways this game has met all the hardcore gamers needs. Bringing more of the strategy needed to win in each battle, with each battle being interesting and part of the storyline. You won't find no tedious game play. Also back, is the adorable cutesy anime artwork and returning character from the first...

disgaea 2

Strengths: SRPG at its best - animations

Weakness: not for the short term player

Sequel to one of the better SRPG for the PS2 , Disgaea 2 expands on its strengths and makes for another great game. This is the perfect game for the perfectionist. You have hundreds of things you can tweak - characters, spells, armor, etc etc etc. You can spend an hour just setting up a character for the next battle. So if you think this is your type of game, i definitely recommend it. Can't wait...

One of the best strategy games for PS2

Strengths: Characters, story line and Customization

Weakness: Few slow moments during cutscenes and animations

This games is considered one of the best strategy released. Disgaea 2 is the continuation of the first game Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. This game packs a lot of time for strategy and has one of the best stories. From almost hundreds of customizing characters and classes and even magic spell and special attacks. This game make you spend hours of hours of fun plus the animations. I recommend this as...

Not as good as the first but the first set the bar...

Strengths: Great story, excellent characters, many hours of entertainment.

Weakness: Lacks some of the charm of the first game. Main characters are not the same as in the 1st game.

The game looks and sounds great, particularly the voice acting. Some characters from the original are in the game although they are not main characters which may turn some people away. The game may be too long for casual, non-strategy rpg types.

Disgaea 2

Strengths: Sequel to one of the greatest console strategy RPG's ever made

Weakness: Not much different than the first

The first Disgaea game is a compelling strategy game that can take you over 100 hours to fully complete. The sequel is similar, with some minor tweaks to the gameplay. Basically, if you liked the first one then you will appreciate the new story and minor differences this time around. If you haven't played the first, then it doesn't really matter - play either one. The game is not for beginners...

Ready Dood?

Strengths: Improves on the first in just about every way

Weakness: I found the story in the first one to be more enjoyable

If you loved the first Disgaea, then you'll love this as well. For those that don't know, this series is known for being a great SRPG (like Final Fantasy Tactics). It's deep, funny, charming, and very enjoyable. If you've never played a SRPG or don't even know what a SRPG is though, this game may take a while to get used to. Overall, I'd say this is a must buy.

SRPG goodness

Strengths: Engaging story, excellent gameplay

Weakness: Subpar graphics for the platform

This sequel to the first Disgaea from NIS is an improvement in all ways (other than graphics). Those looking for a solid strategy RPG could do much worse than the Disgaea series. Though the graphics in these games are generally on the lower-end of what you would expect out of a PS2 game, the fantastic storyline and intuitive game mechanics more than make up for it. There are numerous optional...

Dood!

Strengths: Nippon Ichi gameplay. Cool cameos and unlockables. Japanese voice acting. Prinnies.

Weakness: Definitely geared more towards fans of Nippon Ichi. Story and new characters are not as endearing as the first.

As I mentioned in my previous Disgaea review, this game is definitely geared towards fans of strategy RPG’s, in particular, Nippon Ichi’s style of gameplay. The gameplay, slightly risqué humor, large cast of characters and unlockables are still present along with the main story and power leveling parts. The gameplay is almost an exact duplicate of the first with some minor additions (Dark...

Disgaea 2

Strengths: Gameplay

Weakness: None

Disgaea 2 is a second installment of the popular, addictive Strategic RPG phenomenon Disgaea: Hour of Darkness from NIS America. It is a turn-based battle system in a grid-like environment. Disgaea 2 may not be as good as Disgaea but it can still bring nearly hundred of hours of addictive gameplay. There are similar SRPG game from NISA, namely, La Pucelle Tactics, Phantom Brave and Makai Kingdom....

One of The Best SRPGs Is Back

Strengths: Lots of Replay

Weakness: Camera Problems (At Times)

Disgaea 2 is a Strategy RPG game and while it's one of the best on the PS2 it's very much like the first game overall. The battles take place on an isometric battle field on which you will move around and attack enemies in turn based battle. In Disgaea 2 they added a felony system in which your characters may get accused of a crime and will have to go to court and if they are found guilty will be...

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories

Very rarely do strategy/RPGs possess the power to entrance players from the moment they begin. Only once a generation is an RPG so hilarious that it makes having a specific award necessary to reward its accomplishment. Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories will come out looking like another anime-based adventure attempting to cash in on the legacy set more than a decade ago by Lunar: The Silver Star Story....
