A Magical Game?

Strengths: Uses the Nintendo touchscreen in innovative ways to cast spells. Old school RPG design A neat battle syste, Day/night cycles Lengthy adventure

Weakness: weird character designs leveling up might turn some people off random battles a weak story for a RPG

A teacher goes off on a dangerous mission. Something doesn't seem right, so a group of her students go off to rescue her. Grand adventures ensue. This is a classic RPG by Brownie Brown, the studio that did Magical Vacation (never US released) and Sword of Mana. Their signature style is all over this game which is great for RPG fans. This is from the old school design mechanics, and has a nice...

Magical Starsign

Strengths: A nice little RPG perfect for the handheld DS

Weakness: Doesn't stand out

Magical Starsign is a great little RPG for the DS. It won't blow your socks off but it is a decent game with a decent (though cliched) story. The battle system is typical turn-based fare with the little twist of having certain characters magical attacks being more powerful at certain times. It is also a bit of a twist in that all the attacks are magic. There is no sword-wielding tank to put up...

Magical Starsign Brings Traditional RPG Gameplay To...

Strengths: Long Single Player Game, Multiplay Mode

Weakness: Might Be To Traditional RPGish For Gamers Looking For Something Different

Magical Starsign is a traditional RPG very much like a lot of the older RPGs that were on the 16-bit systems. The battle system itself is turn based and adds in a minor touch with the touch screen for example you can touch your character while your attacking and if timed right you will do some extra damage. Magical Starsign also has a multiplayer mode in which you can play in dungeons with other...

Charming and Boring

Strengths: Witty and clever localization, interesting characters.

Weakness: Slow battles.

Magical Starsign is a moderately entertaining RPG for the DS. The localization is easily the best part of the game, providing plenty of amusing situations and laughs. The graphics and sound are pretty good, and the gameplay is solid enough. However, the random battles and battle animations slow things down substantially, and the stylus only control is a nuisance.

An overall solid RPG for the DSL

Strengths: very innovative combat system and very cute charactor.

Weakness: Too much tutorials and narrative at beginning, if for very young age, you have to read it for him/her. The charactor graphic is not that good, small and short. and it's a slow game.

This is the first RPG that I bought for the DS, felt too much text at beginning, and after that I'm impressed. and it's magic, magic plays big part of in combat. It's fun even for very young children.

Magical Starsign

Strengths: Nintendo touch screen, fun RPG

Weakness: frequent random battles

Magical Starsign is an old school RPG utilizing Nintendo's touch screen technology on the DS platform. It supports multiplayer mode and features 40+ hours gameplay. The combat system is innovative, since it involves using the touch screen. Although the story is a bit weak, this game is still fun and great.

Magical Starsign

Strengths: Fun, rpg

Weakness: n/a

This is a fun game. From the makers of the Japan only RPG Magical Vacation and some of the creators of Secret of Mana, Magical starsign delivers where it matters most, fun factor. The battle system and graphics are great.

Magical Starsign - a new twist on a classically...

Strengths: Great multiplayer mode (2-6 players), a lengthy main adventure (40+ hrs), an innovative combat system, and a unique visual look that is a throwback to the days of classic 2-d role playing games

Weakness: Frequency of random battles can be a bit tiring, boss battles are a bit on the easy side, the touch interface feels a bit like an after-thought as players may opt out

The game begins in a classroom with a group of students waiting for their teacher to arrive. Before you know it, the action heats up as the teacher learns an old student is causing trouble and must leave. The students continue with their studies of magic, but soon realize their teacher isn't returning. Interested yet? The storyline of this game is well thought out with unique and colorful...
