Guitar Hero

Strengths: Ridiculously fun.

Weakness: Track list isn't as good as later installments; multiplayer support is limited.

Guitar Hero might have been the first game in the series to make adults jam out with Fisher Price guitars, but the sequels are definitely better, with more extensive songlists, more variety in the songs (here it's basically just rock), and better multiplayer support. Check it out if you want more songs to play, but go with the sequels if this is your first experience with Guitar Hero.

Time to Rock out on the PS2!

Strengths: Easy to learn, a long time to master

Weakness: Hammeroffs are a little weird and multiplayer could be a little better

By now, you've probably heard of Guitar Hero. If you have a PS2, then I highly recommend this game. Also, this Guitar Hero is a perfect way to start out learning about the game. Songs in this version are easier and has it's share of classics.

Rock out with...you know what...out

Strengths: Uses a peripheral, excellent soundtrack, addictive gameplay.

Weakness: Shallow gameplay, guitar controller breaks easily, sound required to fully enjoy.

Guitar Hero is hands down an instant classic. Developers Harmonix have struck gold with their combination of their previous games' formula and Red Octane's guitar controller. Playing this game makes you feel like a rockstar and the killer soundtrack brings out the personality into you. From punk to prog the songs are diverse and all fun to play. A definite must for any PS2 owner.

guitar hero 1

Strengths: great gameplay, great controller, good tracks

Weakness: no co-op play, 2 player is weak, poor hammeroff functionality

This is the game that made Harmonix a rock star, literally. Guitar Hero has unprecedented gameplay in the music genre. It has great tracks, about 40-50 tracks in all and they're all fun to play. Even if you have Guitar Hero 2, it is worth checking this game out to see how this series began.

The original...

Strengths: Incredible song selection.

Weakness: Older game, no bundle available w/ guitar anymore

Guitar Hero is a phenom, and this one was the best one that I've played so far. The track selection is incredible, as I had an amazing time playing each song. Its a little harder than subsequent GHs, but thats a good thing. This game will keep you occupied for a long time.

Guitar Hero (PS2)

Strengths: Plenty of fun

Weakness: None

You have got to get this game! To sum it up in one word, addicting. Loads of fun with friends. The game play idea is awesome, the graphics are good, and it is challenging all the way through. Great game.

GH is a great game

Strengths: Great single player campaign and offline multiplayer makes this game a MUST BUY!

Weakness: No online multiplayer. Guitar's are expensive.

If you have never played a guitar hero game before, BUY THIS for sure! This game will not let you down. Although the price tag is kind of high, it is worth every penny.

Great music game

Strengths: The song selections in the game are pretty good, the guitar controller feels comfortable to use and works well for the game.

Weakness: Some songs may get repetitive, the game could have used a few more choices.

Overall this game is a ton of fun to play. It is easy to get hooked on it trying to play some really great songs through all of the difficulty levels. It is actually a real challenge to complete on the expert difficulty. The guitar controller is pretty durable, mine has been used a ton and still works great. The only downsides are that you need another guitar for real two player competition and...

Guitar hero

Strengths: Guitar controller, good soundtrack, plenty of unlockables

Weakness: kind of pricey

Guitar hero is a new game which has quickly jumped into the house of so many game fans. Anyone who owns a PS2 needs to own this game, despite the hefty price tag. As you progress through the difficulty levels, you find yourself improving your "guitar skills." As you strum to the beats on the screen, you can sway the crowd into a frenzy or into a flurry of "boo's" if you mess up too much. With...

guitar hero

Strengths: Excellent gameplay, awesome songs, unique idea, increasing difficulty levels, unlockables

Weakness: hammer-ons and pull-offs don't work well

Want an awesome game that you will always be able to go back to on a boring rainy day? This is definitely the game for you. The point of the game is to rock out, strumming the guitar in beat to the notes on the screen, similar to Dance Dance Revolution or other rhythm games. The difference here? You're using a guitar and the songs are kick butt. You start off with just a couple of songs and as...

Guitar Hero

Bought a beat up six string in a secondhand store Didn't know how to play it, but he knew for sure That one guitar, felt good in his hands Didn't take long, to understand Just one guitar, slung way down low Was one way ticket, only one way to go - Juke Box Hero by Foreigner The box says to kiss air guitar goodbye and that is just part of the equation.
