Crimson Tears

Strengths: Beautiful, absolutely beautiful, classic beat'em up style action, lots of items/weapons to try out

Weakness: Short first run through, not everyone would want to play through for the extras, would have been so much better if they had multiplayer

Ive been wanting to play Crimson Tears for a long time now, and now that I finally have I am not disappointed. You take control of one of three characters, each with their own specific type of attacking. They each excel in different areas. The red chick Amber can use Dual Swords is is the rounded out character. Kadie can use Buster swords (huge two handed swords ala Cloud from FF7) and shes the...

Crimson Tears

Strengths: Unique title with interesting gameplay

Weakness: Fairly repetitive

Crimson Tears is a unique title which blends RPG style with adventure gaming. As you plow through levels defeating bad guy after bad guy, you uncover a plotline which is pretty lacking. Nonetheless, the gameplay is interesting and keeps you entertained for quite a while. However, given several hors of the randomly generated battles, you realize that the game has way to repetitive for its own...

Average game Average Beat'em up

Strengths: Character designs & variations in weapons.

Weakness: Randomly generated stages, graphics could turn off a few, and voice overs.

Crimson Tears is a beat'em up game for PS2. You get to play as one of three characters, Kadie, Amber, and Tokio to combat the evil forces of A.R.M.A. Each character has a specific weapon set that they specialize in which gives variation to the game. The biggest fault of this game are the randomly generated stages. Never really good to have anything random because it usually turns out to be the...

Drink Some Beers Before Playing Crimson Tears

Strengths: Interesting Mix of Gameplay Elements, Different Characters To Play As

Weakness: Can Be Monotonous With The Button Mashing, Random Dungeons Can Be Boring.

Crimson Tears is an interesting and very good idea for a game as it is a brawler adventure game that also has RPG elements added in for good measure but could have been better & truely great with better execution. After playing Crimson Tears for abit one will notice that the levels are randomly generated each time you play. I think it would have been better having unique levels with much better...

Apparently There Will be an Extreme Shortage of Pants

Strengths: nothing

Weakness: graphics - dumb characters - long loads

One of the first thing you'll notice when you first play this game is the female characters. Then again that's the only reason to buy this game at all. The story is pretty basic so I won't bore you with the details. All I'll say is it involves two hot woman running around in tight fitting underwear to fight robots with a fully clothed male character. Why have a male character? Maybe so when you...

Pure bliss

Strengths: Awesome gameplay

Weakness: Jerky graphics

Crimson Tears is such a stellar title, but it is one that has been overlooked by pretty much all gamers. Maybe it came out at the wrong time of the year, or on the wrong platform, but this ie one game that truly did not deserve to be ignored. This is a killer action game with heavy RPG elements. You battle your way through several Tron inspired environments, using an awesome combat system and...

Crimson Tears

Strengths: Great graphics, good gameplay

Weakness: none

This game is really nice looking. The character models are really well done. The packaging art is also very nice. For 39.99 this title is a must buy. This game reminded me of playing streets of rage, but in full 3d. Overall, a pretty good game.

Crimson Tears

Capcom is traditionally known for making some of the best fighting style games in the industry and they’re also recognized for creating generally high quality titles ever since they introduced games like Legendary Wings and Mega Man to the NES well over 15 years ago. But times, they are a changing and today’s gamers demand more and more complexity out of their games. Enter Crimson Tears,...

Crimson Tears (ps2)

You have to give Capcom's PlayStation 2 philosophy some credit. Because unlike previous examples, when the company would continually focus on a long stream of sequels rather than original IPs, the Japanese giant has tried its best to create an abundance of unique new games. Titles such as Auto Modellista, Chaos Legion, Glass Rose, and The Gregory Horror Show may not have set new standards in...

Crimson Tears (ps2)

The PS2 crowd loved cel-shaded racing with Auto Modellista and couldn't get enough of cel-shaded first-person shooting in XIII . It was only natural that we'd get a chance to whack away in a cel-shaded action title. Capcom's Crimson Tears is a classic dungeon crawl with a couple of twists. It's set in futuristic Tokyo and it's cel-shaded. Unfortunately, those two nifty wrinkles aren't enough to...
