Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team

Strengths: Fun game, Challenging courses, Storyline is creative

Weakness: Can't evolve until you beat story mode, Graphics are ok

I bought this game because I am a Pokemon fan. This was my first Pokemon DS game. It plays similar to the SP games with the addition of having dual screens which allows you to see the map on the top screen. In this game, you are the Pokemon instead of the trainer which I like better. This game becomes boring if you can't beat the challenging dungeons.

Awesome Dungeon Crawler

Strengths: Simple, fun, and addictive gameplay.

Weakness: Graphics not overly sophisticated.

I picked up this game on sale at a whim, and I've been pleasantly surprised by it. The dungeon crawling is fun and nicely paced, the variety of Pokemon and items are great, and the story is interesting and different from every other Pokemon title. The graphics and music, while not amazing, are well-done. Fans of old-school RPGs and dungeon crawlers will like this one. Pokemon fans may enjoy the...

I'm enjoying it

Strengths: Story is cute, it's Pokemon, random dungeons

Weakness: it's not traditional Pokemon ;)

Being a Pokemon fan, when I saw this game for $20, I decided to give it a try. Please remember, this is not typical Pokemon. if you have never played a Pokemon game before and want to see what all the fuss is about, don't start with this one... wait for Pearl or Diamond on the DS, or pick up one of the GBA incarnations. That said, the game is still *fun*. Instead of playing as a Pokemaster,...

Standard Dungeon Fare

Strengths: Pokemon is amazing

Weakness: It kinda sucks if you aren't a big fan of Pokemon

I really enjoyed this game probably because I love Chunsoft dungeon games and Pokemon. It's a winning combination. However the game is repetitive so if you aren't a fan of dungeon crawlers you might want to look elsewhere for your Pokemon needs.

Random Fun!

Strengths: A kinder gentler Roguelike for beginers! Pokemon characters all have diffrent ablities, so strategy is needed!

Weakness: Random dungeons can be boring and repetitive to some people.

This is one of those randomized dungeon games. You know the type. Battle through a random dungeon balancing your supply pack. Be careful! You only have one shot! Fall in battle and you will loose all you carried into the dungeon and you will have to try again. This game is kinder than most games of these types due to you keeping your stat gains even when failing. Plus you get to be cute pokemon!...

Pokemon RPG DS Game

Strengths: Nice music

Weakness: Bad graphics

I am very disappointed with this game. I feel I am playing a GBA game, but not a DS game. First, the bad graphics: everthing is so boring, tiny and fuzzy. The good thing is that the speed of moving characters, conversations, fights....etc. is really fast. Will not buy any series games again.

Just OK; At Best

Strengths: It's Pokemon!

Weakness: Graphics, Plot, Ennui

Of course, this game is Pokemon and the characters are wonderful and loveable. Unfortunately, the game itself is mediocre. The plot is often predictable and the graphics fail to draw the player into either the game world or the world of Pokemon. You just can't forget what you're doing while you play this forgetable game. It is just "OK" at best and it certainly is not near the top of anyone's...

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team - Average...

Strengths: +Uses the popular Pokemon franchise +Take a neat quiz to find out which Pokemon you are most like +The game goes on after its over

Weakness: -The graphics belong on the GBA -Dungeons are too random -The main story is short

I wanted to like this game. I love the past Pokemon RPG's, but this game doesn't share much in common. What this game does have is random dungeon crawling, where you rescue other Pokemon. It does get repetitive after awhile. The game will keep going as long as you let it due to side quests. I may not have enjoyed this game as much, but I am going to pass it along to my brother, who will enjoy it...

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue for DS

Strengths: Pokemon!

Weakness: gameplay is all turn-based (not just battles)

I would give Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue 3.5 stars overall - 4 if you're a die hard Pokemon fan - 3 if you're not. In this Pokemon game, you play as a Pokemon, not as a trainer. You only do battle in dungeons or on mountains. As you get new quests, you can learn about new dungeons. Your quest will be to rescue a specific Pokemon on a specific floor from a specific dungeon. When you decide to go...

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon

Strengths: graphics

Weakness: gameplay

I figured I'd check out what Pokemon was about and was disappointed with this title. The gameplay is horrible and the dungeons and layouts make no sense. I've played lots of RPGs on PCs prior and had much more fun playing those first generation Zork, Castle Wolfenstein and Wizardry RPGs. This Pokemon title has graphics going for it but has nothing in gameplay over those "old school" titles. So if...
