Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: Excellent battle system, awesome graphics, good levelling system

Weakness: Standard story

ALready played through your RPG backlog and your looking for something new to play? Pick up Rogue Galaxy. Sure the storyline is kind of bland and played out, but the rest of the game definitely makes up for it. The battle system shy's away from the typical turn based system, and instead plays out in a real time fashion that keeps you on your toes and thinking. It also keeps you awake if/when...

Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: One of the best RPG's on the PS2. Nice balance of sidequests vs main quest.

Weakness: Random battles (if you don't like such things)

I knew Rogue Galaxy was supposed to be a good game, but I had no idea until I played through it that it was one of the best Playstation 2 role playing games. You play as a Jaster Rogue, who lives on a backwater planet and has dreams to explore the galaxy. As expected, you get to fulfill those dreams fairly quickly as you get roped into being a crewmember on a pirate spaceship. The main part of...

Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: Some of the best graphics on the system, very fun combat, tons to do, excellent voice acting

Weakness: Somewhat cliched story

Rogue Galaxy, the newest game from Level 5, is an evolution of the action-based RPG gameplay they mastered with Dark Cloud 2. Rogue Galaxy meshes that action-oriented combat with random encounters usually seen in more traditional RPGs. With a colorful cast of characters and an adventure that spans several planets the game will certainly keep you busy - weapons to create, a factory mini-game that...

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad Galaxy.

Strengths: Distinctive visuals. Long and engaging RPG. Good combat system.

Weakness: While still very good it's a typical RPG.

Rogue Galaxy is a very good example of the RPG Genre. Everything it does it does well. Great story. Great visuals. Original setting. Good combat system. Overall, it's a great game. Having said that, it's still a genre piece, and doesn't rise above what it is. But it may be one of the last great RPG's to come out on the PS2.

Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: Fantastic real-time battle system; stellar voice work

Weakness: Story could be weak occasionally

Rogue Galaxy was a testament to the consistency of the work from the developers at Level 5. The voice acting is top notch; the battle system and exploration are incredibly enjoyable. There were innumerable extras that could carry you on for an additional 40-50 hours beyond the main game. If you're looking for an RPG that will keep you glued to your TV for a few dozen hours, this is the one to try.

Rogue Galaxy (PS2)

Strengths: Long gameplay, fantastic graphics and sound, well-done combat system, excellent characters and storyline

Weakness: None apparent

Rogue Galaxy is considered to be the last, best RPG on the PS2. The game looks fantastic, with incredibly detailed graphics, great sounds and lovely music. The storyline is both deep and long, giving RPG fans plenty of gameplay for their dollar. The combat system is intuitive and works well for level advancement, which happens many times through the games. Any RPG fan must get this game.

One of the Best Action RPGs

Strengths: stunningly beautiful graphics, good combat system

Weakness: enemies are overpowering making the battles tough and a bit of a chore.

Rogue Galaxy has a lot going for it. It's one of the best looking PS2 games, utilizing a highly detailed cell shaded cartoonish art style. The designs and animation of the characters are done so well that someone can easily mistaken it as a cartoon or movie. Although the story is a bit cliched and a bit boring, the combat will keep you on your toes. Unlike turn based rpgs, the battles in Rogue...

Rogue Galaxy- An epic adventure that will last you a...

Strengths: Fantastic graphics, tons of depth/things to do, an excellent story. Fast Paced Combat and weapon creation/bug collecting aspects of the game will keep you playing for 80+ hours to get everything!

Weakness: Not for non-RPG fans, the depth and heaps of things to do may turn off some casual gamers. Easy to get lost in the myriad of things to do. Some difficult areas.

Rogue Galaxy is a space opera style RPG with an action based battle system akin to Kingdom Hearts. The graphics are amazing with huge monsters and vibrant characters on screen. Voice acting and story are handled excellently. The US release here actually gets more content than the Japanese original, with bonus side quests. The game has a ton to do even aside from the gripping main story. Easy to...

Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: Great RPG, story, mechnics, everything.

Weakness: N/A

Rogue Galaxy is possibly the last great RPG to come out on the PS2. The story is absolutely amazing. The graphics, menu system, and everything else that is RPG, is done perfect. Also, unlike many other RPG's that have more characters than can fit in your party, you don't have to spend time levelling up each character. As you level up, all characters grow along with you, making things that much...

Rogue Galaxy

Strengths: Fun battle system, great side quests, graphics

Weakness: N/A

Rogue Galaxy is one of the best action-RPG on the PS2. It has a great story with a good balance between side quests and the main quest, and a fun battle system. It has a good mix of various elements that makes it a great action-RPG in the market. The battle system is evolutionary. With Level 5 being the developer of the game, it is not surprising that they borrowed the evolutionary concept from...

Rogue Galaxy

Would you like a little Star Wars with your Kingdom Hearts? That’s the question posed to gamers as they enter the wonderful world of Rogue Galaxy. It’s a magical RPG and an addictive action game rolled into one. The story, characters and scenarios have tiny hints of Star Wars. The awesome, give-me-just-one-more-battle gameplay comes from the creators of Dark Cloud (one of many unique...
