Combined Assault

Strengths: Online play

Weakness: PS2 graphics and sound...

This is a decent game. It has an interesting storyline for single play and has an online play with other PS2 and PSP. It has a good graphics and sound for PS2, but if you have ever played Xbox 360 or PS3, you feel that its graphics and sound is not enjoyable that much. In a new generation of game play, this game is outdated, even though it is still fun to play in some ways.

Socom U.S. Navy Seals Combined Assault

Strengths: graphics, gameplay

Weakness: none

Socom Combined Assault is a pretty good tactical shooter. The graphics are ok for a ps2 title. The gameplay and story are pretty decent. Online play is also pretty good. Socom Combined Assault does not dissapoint.

War simulation is not a game.

Strengths: +Good voicework

Weakness: -team mates need to be told specifically what to do, -lots of sharpshooting

The story revolves around saving a team of Navy SEALS that have been captured in a made up county of Adjikistan. The levels are wide open spaces with enemies scattered here and there. So you're free to move around and plan out how to complete an objective. Unfortunately the action is horrible. I'm not sure if Socom Combined Assault is too realistic or if it was just the levels that I played but...

SOCOM Combined Assault

Strengths: Online, gameplay

Weakness: A.I.

SOCOM is probably the most played game online on the PS2. So if you are going to get SOCOM: Combined Assault, it should be solely to kick butt online. The single player mission are like past titles with various locales but the dumb A.I. pretty much ruins the experience. So get SOCOM only to play it online.

Socom Combined Assault

Strengths: Great game to play online and single player mode

Weakness: none

Lots of fun! Socom made a great addition to their lineup! Realistic Gameplay, Good graphics (Could be improved slightly, but still good.) Missions last much longer compared to the other Socoms. Overall, this is a great game to play, I definitely recommend buying it!

SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Combined Assault

There have been games aplenty on the Xbox where the online multiplayer mode was like the icing on a sweet pastry while the PS2 was slightly left behind in that department. Then again, Sony and Zipper Interactive’s SOCOM series proved that the console is more than capable of giving shooting fans something to sink their teeth into and thoroughly enjoy. The franchise reached new heights with SOCOM...
