Mechs and Explosions = Fun!

Strengths: Multiplayer, customization, just plain fun

Weakness: Missions are tough

After picking up Chromehounds recently (and how could any XBox 360 owner pass up a game for under $20?!?), I must say I'm very surprised... and in a completely positive way too.. How often is it that you find a game that is genuinely fun and interesting to play that was THIS FAR under the radar? Chromehounds on the surface has a definite receipt for success. Giant robotic machines and shooting...

Chromehounds

Strengths: Multiplayer

Weakness: Singler player

This game is built for multiplayer. But the problem is that it came out more than 2 years ago, so its online plays are almost dead. Then its single play is so short and a kind of preface for the multiplayer mode. So it is almost useless now...

Cool concept

Strengths: Deep and involved multiplayer.

Weakness: Weak single player. Dead online community Microtransactions.

I bought this game after it's been out for a while. I was expecting a robust multiplayer game, which it is, but the community has all but died. I just wish I had bought the game when it first came out. From what little I have played, it could be a fun game.

Great mech combat action

Strengths: Amazing online play; customizeable mechs; amazing battle visuals

Weakness: Single player is boring and an afterthought

Chromehounds is a mech combat action game that is best known for its team based online multiplayer mode. This is definitely the strength of this game and its primary appeal. The fact that you can customize and design your own mechs is an added plus and makes you look unique on your team when playing online. If you don't have XBOX Live, don't bother buying this game because the single player...

Chromehounds

Strengths: Great mech fighting simulation

Weakness: Single player a bit short

Chromehounds is a mech (or "hound") fighting game in which you control a large vehicle armed with various weapons against either computer-controlled vehicles or other people over Xbox Live. There is a fairly short (10 hours or so) single-player game that is enjoyable, though it could have been longer. It consists of about 6 missions for each of 6 different types of hounds (soldier, scout,...

Chromehounds

Strengths: good multiplayer

Weakness: hard to control

Chromehounds is a mech game which has a rather short single player campaign in which you get to customize your mech. The details of the mechs are pretty good but the surrounding aren't really all that great to look at. This game is mainly good for the multiplayer component. I actually preferred the mechassault games over chromehounds.

Better Than Expected ...

Strengths: Online Play, Realistic dynamics, Good graphics

Weakness: Little slow story

Extensive customization of your "hound" with the ability to tweak many of the settings. Much better than MechAssault. Very good mix of action and strategy-driven decision-making. Single player campaign good, but online play awesome.

Mechs on the 360-- what more could you want?

Strengths: Good mech action, quite immersive, fun to play

Weakness: A little sparse graphically at times, can move slow, controls sometimes are a bit off (but they're ok most of the time)

I really love mech games and was excited about picking this game up when it came out. It took a while but I finally got the game and am quite happy with it. Sega takes a bit of the middle ground with this game. It's quite sim-like (obviously it's no Steel Battalion) while still trying to be fun. For the most part they succeed. It is a slower game overall but has good action. The graphics may not...

Complicated Mech

Strengths: Online play

Weakness: single player missions

If you like mechs and slow moving action, this is the game for you. Developed by the same folks that bring the Armored Core series, Chromehounds sports wonderful mech customization and really good graphics. Unfortunately, the single player campaign is quite disappointing. The environments in the missions are bland and the single player basically turns out to be mech training. Online gameplay is...

Chromehounds is one of the best robot games out there

Strengths: Everything

Weakness: Nothing

If you are looking for a good robot game, go for Chromehounds, not Armored Core 4. From the same guys who made Armored Core, Chromehounds is a online game with a large campaign, but relatively small single offline player campaign, which is kinda disappointing. I still don't have Xbox Live Gold, but its still a fun game. Customization has many customizations, but its very complicated. It took me...

CHROMEHOUNDS

As a mercenary mech pilot in a alternate timeline version of Earth, you have been hired to execute the tactical requirements of an ongoing ground war. And when I say war I mean WAR. There is no wussy aircraft, no naval defense, nope, just you driving a massive hardcore robot, loaded to the hilt with enough destructive weaponry to destroy other massive hardcore robots. And by the way, hounds are...
