Back To The Front (Cheap Metallica Plug)

Strengths: long Game (Won't be finishing this one in a mere 8 hours)

Weakness: sub-par graphics and sound

Front Mission 4 is the first Front Mission game on the Playstation 2 & the 2nd one in the franchise to be released in the US as Front Mission 3 was released on the Playstaion in the US. Front Mission is a Turn-Based Strategy game with a futuristic mech like atmosphere to it as all the battles are between giant mechs. While the story & graphics are not the best on the Playstation 2 the...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Strategic Gameplay

Weakness: Slow pace may turn some off

Front Mission 4 is very much a love it or hate it type of game. The graphics of the game are good, but not exceptional. They certainly do the job of portraying the mechs in a realistic fashion and the characters have a good design to them, but the graphics aren't up there with the absolute best on the system. The sound is good -- the voice acting is surprisingly well done in the game and the...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Great in-game cutscenes, great strategy with turn-based action, massive amounts of customizable mechs

Weakness: Not for the action mech gamer, graphics only passable

Front Mission 4 crosses mech action with turn-based action combat. In Front Mission 4, the game unfolds through multiple different mech pilots in different areas on the Earth. The story is told between in-game events through some amazingly well done cutscenes, which draw players into the action. The in-game action is a bit different than other mech titles, as it's turn-based combat, instead of...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: graphics/sound

It takes a long time to complete the game. You can feel what the characters are thinking.Building your own wanzer is really cool.I enjoyed playing the practise rounds almost as much as the story.

fun for robot and mech fans

Strengths: gameplay

Weakness: graphics

Because I bought the game, I REALLY want to like it. However, I can't go right out and say this is a great game because it truthfully isn't. The game is much like Final Fantasy Tactics, only with mechs. To the uninitiated, this means a tactical turn based strategy game in which you maneuver mechs on a battlefield. The mechs can be given various abilities and equipped with a variety of weapons...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Good strategy gameplay.

Weakness: Graphics are lacking, gets boring at some points.

I haven't gotten into this game as much as I would have liked to but I will review from what I've seen so far. Front Mission 4 is a very traditional mech strategy game. You win battles, progress through the decent storyline and level-up/upgrade your mechas. Although I'm a big fan of strategy RPGs (FFTactics, Disgaea, etc.) I found the begginging of the game somewhat boring. I didn't feel very...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Great cut-scenes, simple to play.

Weakness: Short for a strategy game, old turn-based combat

The is probably the best mech/robot based strategy game on the Playstation 2. The designs and cut-scenes are very cool. Being able to customize your own Wanzers and then see the results in 3d is very cool. The game suffers from too many text windows and the turn based combat, however combat is generally well balanced. Overall the games is a fun strategy game, but seems to be over very quickly, it...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Good Graphic, Decent storyline, Excellent battle music soundtrack, Good Battle system.

Weakness: Many glitches in the game, I had this game freeze on my 4 times, Story get old & boring fast.

Front Mission 4 is a Mech Machine strategy game, by Square the maker of the ever so popular Final fantasy Games. Very Gameplay is very similar to Front Mission 3 on the Playstation 1, so if played part 3, you'll know what your jumping into. Another thing this game is quite difficult to get into, and I reccomend this game for 17+ crowd! Pros: Being able to command 100 Tons Mech machine, Decent...

Front Mission 4

Strengths: Mechs, mechs, mechs!

Weakness: Poor pacing, poor voice acting, the battle animations can get tiresome.

Front Mission 4 is the latest installment in Squaresoft's giant robots-meet-Napoleon series. If you're already a fan, stop reading now and go buy it. If you're not and just like shiny robots, the game won't disappoint. But if you're looking for a good game...? The strategy aspect in this game is one of my favorites. The weapons you equip affect how you attack, your range, etc. Furthermore, it'll...

Good Strategy RPG.

Strengths: Great cutscenes, great story, lots of customization.

Weakness: PS1-like graphics.

I came into FM4 having not played any previous games in the series. Front Mission 4 is a strategy RPG game concerning large mechs called wanzers. The story takes separate paths between two teams of multiple wanzers. One is trying to discover the truth about who is behind a German base attack, the other is trying to stay alive in Venezuela. Like many Square-Enix titles, this game has amazing cut...

Front Mission 4

It is a familiar refrain – in the future, men will fight wars from inside heavily armed and armored mechanical machines. The ground will shake as this behemoths rumble through, blasting the landscape with a variety of weapons and creating ruins and wreckage from what was once a city. Front Mission 4, a release from Square Enix for the PlayStation 2, plays off that theme. Mankind continues to...

Front Mission 4 (ps2)

What's the best thing to do when the world gets crazy? Bust out the robots, of course! The Front Mission series has always been about armed conflicts involving heavily armored robot tanks, and tense, geopolitical drama. Today's subject is no different. Front Mission 4 is the second game in the series to be released Stateside, and hardcore fans will perhaps appreciate that it doesn't offer too...
