Very enjoyable, if you have the patience

Strengths: Nearly endless gameplay, good graphics, very immersive

Weakness: Slow starting, will test the patience of some

Monster Hunter Freedom is an amazing game. If you have the patience to get through the first few menial tasks (gathering, fishing, etc.), the character development and open ended gameplay will quickly pull you in. The graphics are some of the best for PSP, and make for some goosebump-inducing moments when encountering some of the larger monsters. Highly recommended for RPG and Action fans alike.

Armory on the disk

Strengths: customosation,weapons,quests,music

Weakness: No infasturcture, long load times, impossible monsters

I accidentaly got this game but i'm pleasanly surprised. Weapons andf armor are a joy to make and buy but it takes forever to find the right materials. The lack addition of non- Ad-hoc multiplayer would have been nice but it is a small complaint to such a beatiful game. The weapons and armor looks make lord of the ring's look like toys and the creatures and battles give hollywood a run for thei...

Monster Hunter Freedom

Strengths: Online gameplay, Graphics

Weakness: Camera

Monster Hunter Freedom is an action adventure RPG that is based on Monster Hunter for the Playstation 2 console. It adds wireless multi-player mode but removes the online multi-player mode. This game is very enjoyable, especially when co-operating with friends wirelessly. Graphics is simply breath taking. It has lots of cut scenes are they are pure eye candy. Its success has already led to the...

Monster Hunter Freedom

Strengths: gameplay and graphics

Weakness: camera and control

Monster Hungter Freedom is a port of the Playstation 2 version of the same game with added features. Newly added is the Wi-Fi multi-player game mode but gone is the online game mode. Graphics is excellent. It's probably one of the best looking games on the PSP. Unfortunately, camera angles and controls are rather weak. They are awkward at times. Still, this game is still worth playing with a good...

Online customizable hunting game

Strengths: Online quests, monster wacking

Weakness: Very hard to pass alone, camera angles

This game comes from the port released on the PS2, it has new additional features and the connectivity is easier to set up. This game is awesome when played online in a guild for hunting down monsters. Great game for people who like to customize their characters and doing quests. This game is a must have for those Capcom fans who like to play online and do quest. Its a fun game you’ll enjoy it...

Freeeedommmmmmmm!

Strengths: Graphics, wireless multiplayer

Weakness: Camera controls, and no combat lock-on

This is one of the nicest looking games on the PSP, it is a port of the PS2 version with the significant wireless multi player added and the on line multi player removed. I found this game to be very enjoyable, easy to play and lots of fun when playing wirelessly with friends, Playing the PS2 game on-line was not as fun or as easy to set-up. Tow frustrating elemtents in the game was the difficult...

Go Monster Hunting On The Go Now

Strengths: Lots of Quests

Weakness: Long Load Times, No Online Play

Monster Hunter Freedom is an action adventure RPG much like it's counterpart on the Playstation 2 or like Phantasy Star Online. The story in the game isn't detailed at all as the game is mostly all about powering up your character with strong equipment and killing monsters. Alot of the quests in the game will have you going out into the wilderness with your objective being to find and kill a...

Hunting for Fedex tasks

Strengths: Everything is modifiable; infinite buffs; graphics

Weakness: no sense of direction; unbalanced - some dungeons require multiplayer, so where is infrastructure/or game sharing??

Open ended sandbox games invite a player into a non-linear world that cast them into variable roles without the confinement of a story. The negative aspect is that the player can get sidetracked with the mundane things as the open ended nature of the game precludes any substantial purpose for a story. In Monster Hunter Freedom, that sense of open ended awe has a strange mix with a world devoid of...

ALMOST THERE

Strengths: GRAPHICS / CONTROLS

Weakness: GAMEPLAY / ONLINE CAPABILITY

THE CUT SCENES IN THIS GAME TRULY LOOK AMAZING. SOMETIMES YOU FORGET THAT YOU ARE PLAYING ON A PORTABLE SYSTEM. THE CONTROLS ARE VERY FLUID AND THE CAMERA WORKS KIND OF WELL IN THIS GAME FOR A HANDHELD VERSION. THEY INCLUDE A NICE OPTION SYSTEM TO INDIVIDUALIZE YOUR CHARACTER WHICH GIVES YOU A NICE FEEL OF SELF EMERSION, THAT IS IF YOU MOLD YOUR CHARACTER TO BE LIKE YOURSELF. BOTTOM LINE THOUGH...

Monster Hunter Freedom

Released in Japan as Monster Hunter G, Capcom’s action-adventure game was not quite an RPG and not quite a normal hunting game of the Cabela kind. It’s a fantasy game set in a world where monsters that resemble dinosaurs as well as mythical dragons fill the landscape and where humans struggle for survival while seeking fame and fortune as hunters. Monster Hunter Freedom is a port of Monster...
