Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: Resident Evil ONLINE - nuff' said.

Weakness: Loading times, short, poorly implemented communication system.

The idea of a Resident Evil online game had been floating around for quite a while and the possibilities seemed limitless. I think Capcom did an adequate job for their first go round into the online realm with Outbreak. The game can be incredibly fun and addictive (I'm speaking of the online aspect) as you band together with other real life counterparts and try to survive. It all depends on who...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: Online PS2 game. Resident Evil. Unique characters. Looks great.

Weakness: Poor communication online. Poor control scheme.

Resident evil Outbreak contains five mini scenarios that take place in Racoon City, where the undead have come back to life. In each scenario you can play one of eight characters. Each one with his or her own special ability. alternatively, you can play online with up to four friends. The multiple characters give some replay power. That way you can examine each ones strengths and weaknesses in...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: None

Weakness: Everything

This is BAD. This *IS* as bad as everyone says it is. This game is humiliating to a great series like Resident Evil. The gameplay is awful, the camera angles are disgusting. How can you play if all you can see are walls? DO NOT BUY.

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: Online Resident Evil, that's nice.

Weakness: Terrible load times, NO VOICE COMMUNICATION.

The idea of playing Resident Evil online is a great one, isn't it? Well, unfortunately, Capcom didn't do it as well as they could've. The load times are amazingly awful, and communication between players is limited to a few canned phrases (Come here! I need help! etc.). You can't use a USB microphone, or even type. This makes communication an exercise in frustration, and may make you ask yourself...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: online

Weakness: short, load times

Resident Evil Outbreak was alright. Definetaly not as good as the the other RE titles available. Outbreak is relatively short with only 5 levels. It has very long loading times if you don't have the harddrive. There's alot of stuff that can be unlocked both on and offline.

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: Online capability for the Resident Evil world - Graphics are decent

Weakness: Online environment needs to be improved on

Finally, Resident Evil multiplayer! Ever since getting my slim PS2 with built in network adapter, I've been looking for a good game to try it out with. When I saw Resident Evil Outbreak, i saw my chance. Im a big RE fan, owning almost every RE title there is - minus ones like Dead Aim, etc. This game pretty much inherits the typical RE gameplay, just with multiplayer components. There are a few...

BANG! BANG! BANG! Another OUTBREAK! GAME!

Strengths: COOL GRAPHIC! Fun gameplay for about 10 Mins!

Weakness: Adds nothing to the Resident Evil Storyline! Gameplay get tiring after an hours.

Resident Evil: Outbreak 2... Can't believe Capcom would make a sequel to this game... Outbreak is terrible... addign nothing to the Resident Evil Story... This game is just a way for Capcom to milk the series for all it's worth. Pros: Graphic is Good! Can be had for $20... anywhere.. Cons: Crap gameply... this game gets old... very fast... Overall: 1 OUTTA 5 STARS...

A short old school Resident Evil game with an online...

Strengths: A new Resident Evil game for PS2, excellent FMV cinemas, unique online multiplayer mode, plenty of replay value, tons of unlockables, short load times with HDD peripheral

Weakness: Average graphics and sound, mediocre AI characters, short overall length, requires network adapter for online play, long load times without HDD peripheral, no headset support

Resident Evil: Outbreak presented any number of opportunities for Capcom's flagship series. With the main RE series tied up exclusively with Gamecube for several years, PS2 owners had to make due with mere side stories like Dead Aim. However, Outbreak could still have been something special. Outbreak puts you through five separate episodes (roughly an hour each) and lets you choose between eight...

This game is the resident evil

Strengths: Online gameplay

Weakness: Horrible load times, no voice chat, no keyboard chat, buggy gameplay.

Here is the bane of the RE series. Horrible, horrible load times--even if you use the Harddrive, the load times in RE: outbreak are among the worst of this entire generation. But even that would be acceptable if the gameplay hadn't firmly settled in the land of Awful. The game is designed around online play... but you can neither chat nor type while playing online. This means that you cannot...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Strengths: Online Play, Lots of different characters to play as

Weakness: Slow load times

Resident Evil: Outbreak is the first Resident Evil game with the feature to play multiplayer with other gamers online. You can choose your character you play as from a cast of 8 characters that each have different abilities for example one character can hold more items while another can pick locks. Resident Evil: Outbreak doesn't have a very strong back story to it but what is there of the story...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Anyone out there see the recent movie Dawn of the Dead? As I sat in the movie theatre I actually remember thinking how cool an online multiplayer game would be if it involved a city full of zombies coming after a group of harried survivors. Then my thoughts shifted to the new Resident Evil game which I had begged to get for review. Would it be as cool as I had imagined? Would there be a real feel...

Resident Evil Outbreak

Let's start out by saying that I'm a big fan of Capcom's Resident Evil series. I'm an even bigger fan of Silent Hill and Fatal Frame, so you could say that I'm a survival horror junkie. So imagine my excitement when I learned that Resident Evil Outbreak would be taking classic RE atmosphere and gameplay online. What twisted, insane kind of plan had Capcom concocted? How could what is ostensibly a...

Resident Evil Outbreak

While purists love to cite I*Motion's classic Alone in the Dark series as the father of the survival horror category, it was Capcom's Resident Evil franchise that truly pushed the genre forward. Combining a stylized mix of spooky camera perspectives and a slew of horrid-looking things that go bump in the night, Biohazard has set new standards in the in the realm of digital terror -- even if its...
