Fun But Shallow

Strengths: Lots of games for a low price

Weakness: Shallow play experience

Capcom Classics Collection Remixed is a solid compilation of classic arcade games. The price is right for the number of games, and many of the games are entertaining even today. The unlockables and bonus features are nice, too. On the downside, since these are arcade games, there is a lack of gameplay depth and a plethora of repetition. Overall, this is a nice pickup for fans of classic games.

Near perfect compilation for a handheld

Strengths: One of the best publishers in the biz gives you 20+ retro games. Arcade classics faithfully restored. Variety of games for old school nostalgia

Weakness: A couple of bomb titles that aren't worth playing.

If you're into old-school games, this is a great buy for the PSP. These games are perfect for pick up and play for short periods of time. The Classics Are Back

Strengths: +Old-school Capcom goodness +Some really great titles like Final Fight and Captain Commando are fun +Great interface +Lots of unlockables

Weakness: -About half the titles are not so golden -Why $39.99 MRP when the console versions retailed for $19.99?

Capcom storms on to the PSP with yet another title. This time, their choice of action comes in the form of a collection of games from their golden era. A great collection of Capcom games

Strengths: The games that are good that are in the collection

Weakness: The games that suck that are in the collection

For what it is this is a pretty good collection of Capcom games from the olden days. It has great 2D classics like Super Ghouls & Ghosts, Street Fighter 2, and Bionic Commando, all of which are worth the price alone.

An instant PSP classic

Strengths: Lots of great games, fast loading, excellent menu system, bonus, very high production values all around

Weakness: Some games aren't so hot. No save state option. Relatively high cost.

Capcom released a classics collection on PS2 and XBOX not too long ago. This release, for the PSP, contains many games not included in that collection. This is a great title for the PSP, especially if you remember some of these games for the arcade. My favorites are Forgotten Worlds, Magic Sword, and Don't Pull. Good selection of games, but unfortunately many of...

Strengths: 20 games, good variety

Weakness: The games are ports of the arcade versions, loading is irksome

These are a good selection of games, but unfortunately Capcom dropped the ball and ported the arcade versions of these games, which were in general inferior to the console versions (i.e. Bionic Commando, Legendary Wings). Many of these games suffered from separate issues as well as some common issues, such as Street Fighter having poor controls, and shoot'em ups like 1941 & Legendary Wings...
