Product Details of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

Description

Devil May Cry 3 marks the return of the world?s toughest demon slayer, Dante, in a riveting new game marked by complex storylines, striking graphics and unadulterated stylistic action. As a prequel to the first Devil May Cry, the story unfolds an earlier chapter in Dante?s history, to a fateful clash with his evil twin brother. In addition to its characteristic fast paced action, the game increases the intensity with a new "style" system. It adds more depth to gameplay and allows players to choose between short-range, long-range, defensive or evasive play styles. Each system has its own range of features and players can power up their favorite style for increased special attack abilities.

DEVIL MAY CRY 3: SPECIAL EDITION

Strengths: many unlockable bonus features, great gameplay

Weakness: none

“Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition” is a hack and slash game of for the PS/2. If you played the previous two Devil May Cry games, you'll be familiar with the game play for the third edition. What makes this version a better choice than the original Devil May Cry 3 is the ability to play as Dante’s brother Virgil, who has a lightning fast moves and many deadly attacks. Unlike Dante, he...

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

Strengths: See where it all began.

Weakness: You'll want to punch Dante in the face before the title screen.

Is there anything worse than a young, arrogant guy with a penchant for wearing tight pants and who routinely shrugs off a dozen scythes driven through his torso? Thankfully, Devil May Cry 3 provides a non-stop action-packed ride that'll have you on the edge of your seat. (How's that for cliches?) That is, if you can look past the annoying protagonist and the harder difficulty compared to the rest...

A special edition worth your mola

Strengths: Improved load times, fixed glitch problems, lots of extras.

Weakness: $20 what more can you ask for.

Devil May Cry 3 special edition. Its one of those games you can thank Capcom. 1) For being a greatest hit title 2) For adding extras, and improving the game itself. If you already have the original this is still worth considering to pick up, because of upgraded difficulty levels new bosses, new modes and you can play as a new character "Dante's Brother." After completing the original and the...

Everything the original was and more. . .

Strengths: New playable character, solid combat system, lower difficulty levels, various new extras, budget asking price

Weakness: Vergil's story lacks context, mostly cheap extras, red stripe on case/disc

It doesn't happen often, but every once in a while a publisher will release a greatest hits version of a popular title with new content for fans. This is almost always a good thing and can help to ensure that series fans will at least rent (if not buy) a copy to see what's new. Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening - Special Edition ups the ante with a new playable character (Vergil), a more lenient...

Third DMC!!

Strengths: Ability to switch weapons in real time, action, gameplay.

Weakness: Not much

If you enjoyed the previous Devil May Cry's, then you'll love this. It improves on everything the past games had. Also, there's easier modes for those find the game too hard. The store is decent, especially for an action game and replayability is moderate-high.

Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition

Strengths: Even more features added to an already great game

Weakness: N/A

Instead of releasing a Greatest Hits version of Devil May Cry 3 with just the typical ugly Greatest Hits cover but exactly the same game under the hood, Capcom went the extra mile and released a version with a bunch of added content. We have a new character, Vergil. A few extra scenes have been added as well. There are also a few modes and secrets thrown in. The difficulty has been toned down a...

Extras Added To One of The Best Action Games On The...

Strengths: Toned Down Difficulty

Weakness: Virgil Has To Be Unlocked, Camera Issues

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition is a remake of the regular DMC3 with extras added in for the Greatest Hits Edition. The biggest thing added in is that you can also play though DMC 3 as Dante's brother Virgil who is the main bad guy as you play though the game as Dante, the biggest hinder is that you will have to beat the game with Dante first and won't be able to play as Virgil...

Adventure of Dante's Past

Strengths: New fighting styles and weapons to choose from. Different styles comes with different moves. Great graphics. Able to play both Dante and Vergil.

Weakness: Hard to master all the moves. Devil Trigger is not really all that useful. Hard to get bouns arts.

Dante is back! This time, the game takes place from the events before the first game of the series. Some answers about Dante's past from the first game can also be found in this game. Devil May Cry 3 offers new fighting styles to choose from, the player can choose the style that is more suitable to play with. The styles can be enhanced through upgrade and new moves would also be earned. Different...

Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening Special Edition

It has only been a little under a year (March 2005 to be exact) since the original Devil May Cry 3 released. Now only ten months later, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition hits store shelves nation wide. Would one of 2005’s craziest action games deliver the fast and challenging gameplay again? Or would it just be a gimmick with the special edition name tacked onto it? If you haven’t played the...
