Sonic Back in Form

Strengths: Abandons recent 3D iterations for classic Sonic gameplay. Wonderul music.

Weakness: Kind of on the short side.

Finally another 2D Sonic, and he doesn't disappoint. While the game is on the short side there is some replay value, because you can go through the game as Blaze the Cat once she is unlocked. This is the Sonic that fans have been waiting for.

Sonic Rush DS Cool Game

Strengths: Sonic Character that everyone loves, dual screen shows more action, 14 levels

Weakness: none

This game is really cool and it makes it cooler that Sonic can go on both of the ds screens, it has 14 cool levels with great graphics. This is a great game for the Sonic Fan it is colorful and fast action. It is a fast game packed with all kinds of challenges. A really great game.

Throwback to the original Sonic games

Strengths: Fun, fast-paced

Weakness: None really

Side scrollers are still viable as proven by this game. Underutilizes the dual screen in my opinion but makes up for that by boss battles that leave the 2-d scolling mode and go more full 3D. Will seem immediately familiar and pleasantly nostalgic to anyone who has played the original Sonic titles.

Sonic Rush is a Fast One

Strengths: Classic Platformer; Colorful Graphics; Speed!

Weakness: Unfair Obstacles

Sonic Rush is a blast from the past from the Sega Genesis days. And though this is a completely new game on the handheld Nintendo DS system, it's got all the aspects of what made Sonic a great game to enjoy -- the speed, the lush & colorful graphics, and the mesmerizing chime of the rings being collected and the spastic horror of their spreading explosion as you frustratingly strike an unseen...

Run, run as fast as you can.....

Strengths: Classic sidescrolling sonic game

Weakness: Short and speedy

If you loved sonic the hedgehog in his past side-scrolling incarnations, you're going to love the DS port. It's everything that was great about sonic as he races through the level collecting rings and powerups. There are plenty of new interactive elements that will bounce, swing, and launch sonic around for an exciting ride through the levels. Interspersed between the levels are a series of boss...

Sonic Rush

Strengths: Solid 2D platforming

Weakness: 3D boss battles aren't perfect

Sonic Rush is the first legitimately good Sonic platformer to see release for years. Its stellar 2D platforming levels are ended with somewhat less fulfilling 3D boss battles, but the package works. The platforming is fast and frantic as you would expect from a Sonic game. If you enjoyed his appearances on the Genesis, look this one up.

Sonic Rush (DS)

Strengths: Classic Sonic 2D platforming action

Weakness: Occasional issues with dual screens, short length

Sonic Rush is a return to the classic 2D platforming gameplay from older Sonic games. It uses both of the DS screens to full effect, though with some of the action, the slight delay with the changes between screens causes the occasional issue. It's fast and frantic gameplay, though it's a bit on the short side.

More sonic and now for the DS

Strengths: Great 2d platform game

Weakness: Short game

This game series is new for the DS since the series was in the GBA versions. This game Sonic is faster than ever. With the good graphics from the DS this game is a very good fast paced platformer. You can achieve a lot of special skill and new characters beside Sonic. Plus you can do several tricks while airborn and the replay value is good for achieving goals. This game is worth in your...

Sonic on the NINTENDO! OH YAY!

Strengths: AWESOME GAME!

Weakness: Have to get used to controls on the DS versus how they were on Sega... Also a short game... kind of short like Spider-Man 3 for the DS...

Have to get used to controls on the DS versus how they were on Sega... Also a short game... kind of short like Spider-Man 3 for the DS... Awesome game if you are a sonic fan though! If you can get it for under $20 then DO IT! :) It is a must have (if you can find it cheap).

Sonic Rush

Strengths: Classic 2D Sonic gameplay on the DS

Weakness: Can be somewhat difficult

Sonic Rush is a great re-imagining of the classic Sonic gameplay on the DS. Much like (but preceding it) New Super Mario Brothers, it features 3D character models and backgrounds in what is essentially throwback classic 2D gameplay. Unlike Mario, Sonic has not made a great transition to 3D and seems to be a franchise much more suited for 2D gameplay (Mario can do both). The game looks great for...

Sonic Rush for Nintendo DS Review

While the 2-D Sonic tradition has been carried on fairly well with the three Game Boy Advance releases, one can’t help but notice that with each new GBA release, the games began to feel a bit stale. The games were good enough in themselves, but they just didn’t really bring anything new to the series. Thankfully, Sonic Team decided that it was time to give the old 2-D Sonic a makeover with...
