Product Details of Ape Escape 3

Description

The apes escape on North American PS2s for a third time, and it will take more than a heroic kid with a simple net to trap them all before their mischief infects the minds of innocent folks around the world. Once again under the influence of the villainous Specter, siren-helmeted simians have invaded the local television station and begun to broadcast a signal designed to cloud the minds of viewers. Young Yumi and Kei must explore the station and round up all the rogue primates, before the damage is done. In addition to the regular compliment of ape-nabbing gadgets, the heroes can morph into special forms -- such as a ninja, a cowboy, or a chivalrous knight -- in order to take on whatever challenges those malicious monkeys throw at them this time around. ~ All Game Guide

Ape escape 3

Strengths: -Fun gameplay, reason to play more than once

Weakness: -repetition

Ape Escape 3 is the first game i've played in the series, so I can't compare to previous versions. That being said, I am a fan of this game. It's pure fun, and definitely unique. Catching monkeys using various weapons and tools is a blast. Even though there is some repetition involved (always catching monkeys over and over), the different levels and difficulties wind up keeping things fresh as...

Ape Escape 3 - more monkeying around

Strengths: Similar to the first 2 games with additional upgrades

Weakness: can get repetitive, easy for most gamers

Let me start by saying I am a fan of the first 2 games. I also find this one to be fun, but by the third game it gets a little repetitive. There are additional mini games and character upgrades which add to the overall experience of the game. I did enjoy this game, but it is a little easy for experienced gamers. Overall I would recommend this game for anyone who has not played the previous Ape...

Best monkey catching game yet.

Strengths: Beautiful and hilarious environments, 400 unique monkeys, tons of extras, and incredibly fun to play.

Weakness: It's a little short but is so much fun you'll want to play it again.

Ape Escape 3 is one of the funniest and most fun to play games I have ever seen. It is the first Ape Escape game to surpass the original. In this edition, the villainous, super intelligent, monkey, Specter is trying to take over the world by turning everyone into mindless, slobbering, couch potatoes by making them watch mind numbingly stupid TV shows starring his crew of mischievous monkeys. Each...

Ape Escape 3 (PS2)

Strengths: Does everything that the previous Ape Escapes did well with lots of additional content.

Weakness: N/A

This is the third installment of the Ape Escape series for the PS2. If you are a fan of the Ape Escape series, you will not be disappointed. If you are new to the series, then this is the one to get. The main objective of the game is to catch monkeys using a variety of different gadgets and abilities. You can play as one of two characters and you have the ability to transform into different forms...

Those Crazy Monkeys Are Now Making Movies!

Strengths: New Transform Ability, New Gadgets

Weakness: Non I Can Think of

Anybody that has played Ape Escape 1 or 2 will feel right at home with Ape Escape 3. The idea of the game is the same as you have to use gadgets though out the levels and use your net to capture monkeys. The biggest difference in Ape Escape 3 over all is that new to Ape Escape 3 is the ability to transform into a different character type for a limited amount of time like the cowboy outfit you can...

It's back!

Strengths: Nice graphics, many gadjets, monkeys

Weakness: Can't catch all monkeys in a stage in one play

If you enjoyed the previous Ape Escapes, then you'll love this. It has more of the same with notable improvements. The graphics, gadgets, mini games are all cool and enjoyable. There's even a Metal Gear Solid cameo stage in there!

Really fun for all ages!

Strengths: Cartoony style, sticks to the successful formula

Weakness: More people need to buy these games!

Honestly, I'm a little shocked that the Ape Escape series has made it to a third installment. The series has been light hearted, fun, and fresh since the beginning. Despite my love for the series, I waited forever to pick this one up. At the price most stores are selling this one for (anywhere between $10-20), it's a virtual steal. Ape Escape 3 does not re-invent the wheel. Much like the Crash...

Ape Escape 3

Strengths: fun

Weakness: too short

Ape escape 3 ps2 platform game is the 3rd in the Ape Escape series. Ape Escape 3 has added new content, abilities, and monkeys. You get to play as either Kei or yumi. There are a lot of fun mini-games and extra content to unlock. In my opinion Ape Escape 3 is the best in the Ape series.

Ape Escape 3

Strengths: Fun Ape Escape entry, not straying too far from the formula. Adds morph abilities to the gameplay.

Weakness: N/A

As usual, the game challenges you to collect monkeys throughout various levels with a wide array of weapons and abilities. This game adds the ability to morph into different forms, which mixes up the gameplay a bit. As usual, there are a ton of extras and unlockables that could keep you playing the game well after the credits roll. One minigame is a Metal Gear Solid sendup that is actually quite...

Gotta catch em all...err, wrong game, sorry

Strengths: Great sense of humor, interesting items

Weakness: Camera

Taking the basic Ape Escape premise (use both analog sticks to use interesting items, all the while trying to capture hysterical little monkeys), and building upon it (multpiple playable characters, transformations), Ape Escape 3 is just all around great fun. The camera can be tricky to control, since it is not done through the right analog stick (which is reserved for the items use), but other...

Ape Escape 3

Ape Escape is remembered for being the first video game to attempt open 360-degree attacks. X, square, triangle and circle were scrapped for one sensitive tool: the right analog stick. With this feature players could push the stick to make the monkey-hunting child swing his net in any direction. Though not as innovative as it was expected to be, this highly original control style paved the way...
