Not a bad game at the new price

Strengths: Pretty quick to catch on and graphics not bad. It is not quite a next generation title, but the framerates are smooth.

Weakness: Looks like a launch title. Graphics not quite next gen. Takes a bit to get used to the steering since it is drifting.

When I first played this game, I thought there is no way this game was worth $60. I still feel that way, but I have enjoyed the rental. Now that the game has apparently dropped to $20, I find that the game is a lot of fun and well worth the price. It is the first great budget title for the Xbox 360.

Classic Ridge Racer with new look

Strengths: Graphics, Sound, Music

Weakness: Gameplay

If you are a fan of the Ridge Racer series you're going to love this game. The core gameplay is still present with the addition to beautiful next gen graphics, nitrous and the overhaul on cars and tracks. Even though I'm a fan of the series this game can get old quick. It is very repetitive even with all the new cars and tracks. If you're looking for a sim or modding racer look elsewhere, but if...

Nice game for what it is

Strengths: The graphics are decent and the controls feel much better then old school, PS2 games

Weakness: There just isn't much fun for me, i'm a huge NFS:MW fan and this game just seems to lack the attitude of that game

Overall its a good game and I recommend that you rent it, I'm not a fan of this game overall and I wish I could return it. I had problems with the xbox 360 live system getting me online, does anybody know a fix

Ridge Racer 6

Strengths: ok graphics

Weakness: boring

Ridge Racer 6 is an ok racing type game. It can be a bit boring on the single player mode. Multiplayer is a little better. Overall it is a decent racing game.

A fun, addictive driving game for those who don't...

Strengths: Highly addictive gameplay, great visual and music, very fun to play offline and online

Weakness: Could use a few more tracks

I tried some racing games before such as PGR3 but never really get into them. I felt that I am not very good at racing games and playing them usually gets frustrating and less exciting pretty quick. Two weeks ago I was looking for some cheap games and I got Ridge Racer 6 for $18. What a wonderful decision that I made! For the first time, I am not constantly banging into walls and getting...

Ridge Racer 6

Strengths: Fun arcade style racing, will keep you busy for a long time

Weakness: Can get repetative, early races are too easy

Ridge Racer 6 is my first foray into this popular series, so I didn't know exactly what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found as this is a fun arcade-style racer that truly has a unique feel to it that sets it apart from a lot of the other racing series. This game is all about drifting, but this isn't you're standard squealing your tires and sliding around corners drifting; this...

Great arcade racing game

Strengths: Very fun to play, fairly deep for an arcade racer, better graphics than I expected, great price

Weakness: Not a lot of tuning/tweaking your car, no "real"/licensed cars (But that's normal for the RR series), not quite next-gen graphics

I had read a lot of bad reviews and wasn't expecting much from Ridge Racer 6. However, one review stuck out, complaining that it was too much like Ridge Racer on the PSP. I happen to love that game (I am not the biggest fan of the RR series, but do like some of the games) I bought Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360 as soon as it came down in price, and have been very surprised. The game's graphics...

Great Budget Title

Strengths: Drifting, Easy to control, Long Game

Weakness: Car selection

I decided to buy Ridge Racer when it dropped to $20, and I am completely happy with my decision. Ridge racer is a game that will last a really long time. I liked how the online racing was integrated and unlocked cars over time. The graphics aren't bad but they aren't anything special either. I did not like that there were only a hanful of cars and just different skins for each body style instead...

Surprisingly good

Strengths: Graphics, music, car design

Weakness: Minor technical issues due to being a first gen title for Xbox 360

I usually don't get too excited about a new Ridge Racer game. I yawned at each sequel released for PS1. I've always preferred the realistic nature of the Gran Turismo series. This game is brought me over to arcade racers. I now much prefer arcade style racing games. (Okay so Burnout switched me over to the arcadey side, but this is a RR review). Part 6 is very well made, especially being a first...

Not Nearly Next-Gen

Strengths: Ridge Racer series

Weakness: graphics

If you are expecting to find the next generation of Ridge Racer you won't find it here. What we have here is simply a better than current gen game, but not what the 360 can produce in graphics. Game play is great if you like the series with its signature race drifting. Don't get me wrong, the game looks great. Fans of Ridge Racer won't be disappointed, but don't pay more than $30 for the...

Ridge Racer 6

As always, it’s great to see the Ridge Racer series almost always add their own brand of quirky, high-speed racing action on most new consoles from the original PlayStation to the new PSP. While most racing games go for a faithful simulation the Ridge Racer games were always a lot more loose and thus wild racing game. Now Ridge Racer 6 is here and it’s come in time for the launch of the Xbox...
