Product Details of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Description

The wildly popular turn-based strategy series takes on a new dimension in its first Nintendo GameCube title! The continent of Tellius is divided into humans and half-man/half-beast demi-humans. These two races have battled for centuries and only recently established an uneasy peace. Now, a new force threatens to tear apart the seven kingdoms and reignite the flames of war! Joining the Fire Emblem ranks are new units, such as such as the shape-shifting laguz who transform into beasts to attack their foes. Additionally, characters can now learn unique skills as they gain experience, giving players even more ways to customize their strategy. With the addition of beautifully animated cut scenes and 3-D battles, Fire Emblem looks and plays better than ever.

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

Strengths: Great blend of strategy and rpg character building

Weakness: Has a it of a learning curve

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance really perfects its tactical rpg gameplay. You will really become immersed in the game thanks to its battles and story. The fact that if a character dies in battle their gone for good has you actually caring about them. It makes the game very compelling. The game is pretty lengthy too and has multiple difficulty settings which is nice if you find it to be too...

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance

Strengths: Excellent strategt RPG with a great story

Weakness: N/A

Fire Emblem Path of Radiance takes the fun turn-based strategy RPG game that was a big hit on the Game Boy Advance back into the console realm on the Gamecube. The game features an excellent story (much better than I expected it to be) along with fun and somewhat challenging missions. If played in Normal mode the game is not too challenging to complete, but it is a bit of a challenge to do so...

A Radiant Future

Strengths: Great presentation and battle system, great characters whose personalities really shine through dialogue and supports, beautiful cel-shaded cg cutcscenes, skill system

Weakness: Graphics are dated, animations are few and poorly done, no maniac mode.

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is a fionely crafted and involving strategy rpg(SRPG). This game tells an emotional and moving tell of a land divided by the conflict between laguz(demihumans) and beorc(humans). This entry in the fire emblem series adds some new gameplay elements: bous experience used to level up your army, a new playable class is introduced-laguz, shove ability-use it to shove...

Fire Emblem

Strengths: Amazing RTS game that delivers on almost all aspects!

Weakness: Can be a little hard to get into at first due to the learning curve.

This is by far one of the best gamecube games that was ever released. Even if you own a Wii do yourself a favor and try and pick up a copy of this game right away. I honestly had no intention of ever playing a RTS but I tried it out and I was hooked.

One of the greatest GameCube games

Strengths: Fantastic turn-based strategy

Weakness: Permadeath may turn some players off

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is near the top of my list of favorite GameCube games due to its strategic turn-based gameplay, the intense action, and fine storytelling. Rarely am I glued to my TV for the duration of a 40-plus hour game, but this was one of those cases. If you've played a previous Fire Emblem, you'll no doubt enjoy this, though newcomers to the SRPG genre may want to choose...

Another Quality Title

Strengths: Deep and involving gameplay.

Weakness: Some animations are a bit off.

After two stellar Game Boy titles, Fire Emblem moves onto the Gamecube for the first time. Fans of the series and of tactical RPGs will not be disappointed. The localization is excellent, as always, the gameplay is solid with a few wrinkles to spice things up, and the graphics and music are great. This is definitely one of the best games on the Gamecube!

Fire Emblem makes it's way to the US via console...

Strengths: Long single player quest

Weakness: Losing a character that dies for good

With Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance the US finally gets a console version of Fire Emblem series which has had games released for Japan for all or most of the previous Nintendo systems. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is an SRPG and at that one of the best on any system past or present. In Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance you will will command a squad of characters like many SRPGs the one thing about...

Faithful Addition to the Fire Emblem series

Strengths: Lots of unlockables, which adds replay value. Pretty cut-scenes.

Weakness: Gameplay can get a bit tedious at times

I'd say Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is one of the better turn-based RPGs for the Gamecube. Both of the Gameboy Advance Fire Emblem games were quite popular and Path of Radiance is definitely a great addition to the series. Path of Radiance features brand new characters and a story that has nothing to do with past FE games, so gamers new to the series can enjoy it as well. Aside from the...

Good RPG game for the Cube

Strengths: -Decent story -Graphics are pretty

Weakness: -Difficulty may turn off rpg'ers used to games like Final Fantasy

Strong showing in the RPG genre for the Gamecube, since there aren't too many of this game type for this console. Those players accustomed to Final Fantasy type gameplay might shy away from this one. Things like 'Phoenix Down' will not apply here. Once one of your party dies, they are done....for good. If you are like me, you will be saving very often, just in case this happens to one of your...

Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Strengths: If you're a fan of other Fire Emblem games, then don't hesitate to get this game.

Weakness: You can't revive your characters once they die, you have to reload your game and restart from your last save point.

Fire Emblem has a great story line. The player and computer takes turn in moving your characters on the playing field. You should be careful and protect your characters thoroughly. Once your characters die, you have to reload your game and restart from your last save point. All in all, this is a very good role playing game (RPG).

Fire Emblem PathRadiance

Embrace game droughts. If you've been an avid gamer over the last decade or so, you know that Nintendo systems don't always age gracefully, often leaving players starved for new quality titles as the leaves turn orange. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the perfect example as to why game shortages aren't all bad. While Nintendo and other Japanese publishers never felt the need to translate some of...
