Mega Man: Battle Chip Challenge

Strengths: Fresh idea for a Mega Man game as it's a strategy game

Weakness: Limited control over what happens at times & luck will be a big determining factor at times

Before entering a battle you have to select chips. The chips will be your weapons for the upcoming fight. When you have selected, you have to put them in a pyramid that have 12 slots, when finished, talk to your navy and let the battle begin.... The battles are all based on luck. The chips you've chosen will randomly be used on the enemy in an random order. You can't even control your own navy as in the other games. So, the fighters will just stand there, looking into each others eyes and use their randomly chosen chips. I would recommend trying this game before buying if you can as it may look alot like the Mega Man Battle Network games it plays differently in many aspects

Another excellent entry to the series

Strengths: Familiar gameplay, solid presentation

Weakness: Been there, done that feel

Despite the seemingly obligatory annual releases of this Mega Man Battle Network series, Capcom continues to make them excellent. Once you get over the feel that you've done it all before, you will uncover a solid, yet slightly different, entry into this series. The gameplay is largely the same as previous Mega Man Battle Network games, but it has much more of a card battle mechanic to it. The audio and visual elements remain sharp throughout, and a fun, engaging quest ensues. This game is definitely recommended, especially for MM:BN fans.

Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge

Back in the late 80’s Capcom’s insanely popular Mega Man franchise on the N.E.S. was about the most exciting time one could have using only their thumbs. In the early 90’s Mega Man capped off his run on Nintendo’s 8-bit system and set up shop on the Super Nintendo, where plenty of good ol’ fashioned platforming action was had with the Mega Man X series. Now, 10 years or so later, an...

Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge

The Mega Man Battle Network series has really taken off for Capcom in recent years, and now has four main series games, a GameCube action game and a cartoon series. No doubt under the influence of financial incentives from Bandai, Capcom developed the spin-off N1 Battle game for the toymaker's now-discontinued handheld, the WonderSwan. Now that whatever contract they had with Bandai has lapsed,...

Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge

The successful and fun Mega Man Battle Network RPG series strayed heavily from the original Mega Man formula when it was first launched on the Game Boy Advance back in 2001. If you thought that game series departed from the action-platform genre, wait until you get a load of the latest Mega Man game. Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge is obviously Capcom's attempt to capitalize on the increasing...
