Better than the original Crysis

Strengths: More exciting and fun gameplay; slightly more optimized graphics rendering

Weakness: Still not as much sheer fun as BioShock, but receives a lot of hype because it's so demanding

Having maximized my hardware investment for the original Crysis, I was disappointed when that game could still not render at a reasonable rate when everything was set to maximum while using 2560x1600 resolution. I had heard that Warhead was supposed to be more optimized, and indeed that was the case for me. Now, with Warhead, the three GTX 280s I bought for the original seem able to handle the job, and can render a playable game with everything set to Enthusiast (and still at 2560x1600). However, they still can't handle adding in any Antialiasing; even selecting 2x can make my system crash to the desktop. That's how demanding this game still is, and this is all while using a 4GHz quad-core CPU, & liquid cooling everything.

The game itself is indeed more fun than the original, so much moreso that I'll probably reinstall it some day, and try a runthrough at the hardest difficulty level. And besides, in a couple of years, perhaps there will be some new graphics setup that will enable us to actually use the 16xQ Antialiasing setting, while still maxing out everything else, on a 30" monitor. I do recommend it, at this price point.

Crysis Warhead--PC Game

Strengths: Pros: gameplay, graphics, storyline

Weakness: Cons: (Maybe) DRM

i am currently running the game with everything max (high quality), at 1900x1200 resolution and i must say that it's the best First Person Shooter ever, games like Halo, Bioshock, Res, and even COD4 feel a little outdated form both gameplay and graphics point of view. Interactivity and variety in terms of gameplay is amazing, you can approach every situation in a different way, every object can be broken or used somehow. The suit features are also incredible as you can use different tactics all the time and the weapon features is really good.
Graphics are also top quality with nice shading, textures, special effects. I would highly recommend this game for $30 bucks and under

Crysis made my pc cry.

Strengths: Great graphics, great fps. Bugs cleared out. Good multiplayer. Cheap

Weakness: Resource Hog.

Crysis Warhead is sorta a standalone Expansion to Crysis. You don't need the original crysis to play it. Instead, it tells the story of an alternate character on another part of the island. It also has an expanded and improved multiplayer portion.

This really is the promis fulfileld of the original crysis. The bugs have been eliminated, the pacing improved. It's a fantastic game. Also, it lists for $30 but can be found on sales for as low as $15.
