Better Than The Reviews Say

Strengths: Addictive game-play, Good Graphics, Fun Co-Op, and a lot of loot collecting.

Weakness: Camera can be an issue and controls can be a little frustrating.

Whatever you do, do not go by what the reviewers have given this game. It is not the 68% it has on gamerankings. I would give it a solid 8.5 as it is a very fun game to play. If you like dungeon crawlers like Diablo and Baldurs gate, this game is for you. There are 5 characters to level up to a maximum of 50, so there is a lot of game play to be had. Once you finish the game which took me about 15 hours with the Champion class, you can go back in Co-Op and finish up the areas that you missed because you gain more powers to complete those tasks later.

The enemies are a little bland as most of them look the same. Graphics are pretty good, but you can get 100 enemies on the screen at once with no slow down. Using the right stick to swing your weapon can be cumbersome at times, but once you get the hang of it, it isn't too bad. The camera cannot be controlled, so it gets a little annoying.

I highly recommend you get this game, as it will give you many hours of enjoyment.

Rent it or wait to get it on the cheap

Strengths: Cut scenes and voice acting. Loot drops that allow you to supe up your character. Gameplay is straightforward once you get used to using the analog stick to control your weapon.

Weakness: You can't skip respawning sequence (quickly tiresome & annoying). The bioengineer class is worthless. Play allows for only two player co-op. No camera control.

Too Human combines Norse Mythology and technology, which is an interesting premise. It is also the first of a trilogy, which gives you an incentive to get involved in the story. But it suffers heavily from three major flaws, respawning, multiplayer, and controls. Respawning takes too long. It also means that the bioengineer class has no real purpose. If there are five classes of character, then it makes little sense to make it only a two player online co-op. Using the analog stick for directing your attacks is novel, but the inability to control the camera (which is what that stick is usually used for in other games) leaves it up to the computer to decide where to point it. You end up getting attacked by enemies you can't see because the camera doesn't face them. Not nearly worth the asking price, but suitable for under $20.
