Harvest Moon Review

Strengths: Female character provides a different perspective on familiar places and characters; detailed world with plenty of activities to partake in.

Weakness: Still pretty much the same game as A Wonderful Life; farming chores can get tedious after awhile .

Playing as a female farmer, you can now train your dog, and keep better tabs on the welfare of your animals & family.

This is a good game if you're into the harvest moon series, but if you've played Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life i wouldn't bother with it.

I know it will be

Strengths: This is a great game for girls, and I know that every female harvest moon lover will want to buy it.

Weakness: This isn't a great game for guys though, because of the female role play. It doesn't subtract from the games quality though.

I haven't played this game yet, but I have played Harvest Moon: A wonderful Life. If Another Wonderful Life is as good as it's male role playing sequal, then most people should love it, and Harvest Moon freaks (even if they are male) would probably love it. The chapters makes the game much more organized, and makes me want to play longer to find out what will happen in the following year.

One of the Best in the series

Strengths: immense number of things to do, covers more time than previous harvest moons, addictive

Weakness: identical to wonderful life, minimal differences, graphics 3D but somewhat primitive, wont win new fans to harvest moon

We now have the girl edition of Wonderful Life. If you played the boy edition, then this one is on the pointless side since the change over to a girl barley affects anything. was hoping maybe there would be new events and things to see to give an incentive to those that have Wonderful Life to pick it up. everything in the game is identical, graphics, game, characters except that instead of 3 girls there are 3 guys you can pick from to seduce. If you haven't played the first one or dont have it, then its a another great entry into the harvest moon series. Its not all that different from previous harvest moons(the ps1 is still my favorite) so it wont win over people who didn't like the previous ones. if you managed to finish the others and want another to play, you can't go wrong with this one.

Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life

Strengths: Entertaining farming experience. Nice graphics. Connect to Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town

Weakness: Wish there was an option for boys.

This is a neat little simulation game for the Gamecube. It focuses on farm life from a perspective of a little girl. Build, grow, and harvest crops. Raise animals. Create relationships. It is all about the girls, sorry guys.

Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life

Strengths: Harvest Moon, this time for girls!

Weakness: Daytime cycles too short to accomplish much

Harvest Moon has always been a series popular with girls (and women). And yet in many of the titles you play as a boy tending to your farm and wooing local girls for marriage. In this version, you play as a girl! So this is the perfect game for the female Harvest Moon fan. As for the gameplay it is pretty much standard Harvest Moon fare. You grow crops, take care of animals, collect berries, and choose a mate. The game proceeds through a few chapters as your character grows. The only complaint I had with the game was that it seemed like I could never get enough done in a single day/night cycle and often my activities would get cut short or I'd have to deal with yet another emergency (usually a sick animal) before I could get much else done. Overall, though, this game is an excellent change of pace game from the usual video game shoot-em-ups.

Cuteness abounds!

Strengths: I can play from a female perspective! hurrah!

Weakness: Nothing really new, other than being able to play as a female.

First off, this is essentially just A Wonderful Life, repackaged with a female lead - probably pretty obvious, but worth mentioning

This is, like all Harvest Moon games, a farm/life simulation. The best part of the game is the farm side of things, at least in my opinion. That's what made this game famous. You get to run your own farm, take care of animals like cows, chicken, and sheep... you get to plant and tend crops... and then sell the wares from your farming activities. You can fish and cook, too!

I think the best part of this game is how immersive it can be. It sounds like a very simple concept, but it can be very intricate and complex if you want it to be!

Harvest Moon for girls

Strengths: Harvest Moon: A Wonderful from a female perspective, cute graphics

Weakness: Not many new features added from previous release

Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful is basically the same game as Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life...except now players can play the game from a female perspective. The original game really should have had an option of choosing to play as either a girl or guy. Like previous HM releases, the game is a farming simulator where you tend to crops, raise livestock, and even raise a family. Aside from a few glitch fixes and the new female perspective, there's no real reason to purchase this game if you have the previous edition. Unless you find this version cheap, I'd recommend picking up Harvest Moon: Magical Melody instead since it allows you to play as either a guy or girl from the get-go.

A female perspective on Forget-Me-Not Valley. . .

Strengths: New female perspective on familiar places/characters, plenty of chores to do and activities to participate in

Weakness: Little innovation since last game, doing farm chores gets old after a while

If you've played 2004's Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, you won't find a whole lot to have changed in Forget-Me-Not Valley. The graphics, sound, chores, etc. remain mostly unchanged. What has changed is that you now play a young woman new to town, and you can woo and win a husband from among the local eligible gentlemen.

While this may prove entertaining, the majority of the game is exactly as you remember it from A Wonderful Life. Most of your time will be spend farming the land, tending to your animals and trying to make enough money to keep the farm running. Series fans will love the "more of the same" element of this, but new players may become bored quickly.

Another Wonderful Life has now joined Nintendo's Player's Choice value line, so you can buy it new for $20 or less. Series fans will want to pick this up right away, but new players will probably want to read some reviews first. Like the Sims series of games, the Harvest Moon series isn't for everyone.

Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life

The Harvest Moon series attracts a very specific type of gamer. Like SimCity and the Sims, Harvest Moon takes a bunch of everyday chores and whips them into a compelling game experience. In Harvest Moon, the objective is to raise a family and run a farm. Both objectives require you to perform a string of tasks, ranging from milking cows and feeding chickens to playing with your kids. Obviously,...
