MK: Armageddon (PS2)

Strengths: Tons of characters and new fatalities

Weakness: N/A

Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is probably the best MK game so far. It has virtually all the characters from the previous MK games that you can play, plus all new fatalities added.

If you haven't played a MK game before, you might be put off by the gores and violence it contains though. It is definitely not for children.

There is a collector's edition of this game. It comes in a metal keep case and an arcade perfect version of Ultimate MK 3, plus a DVD and cell art.

MK: Armageddon is a must-have for all MK fans. period.

MK fun

Strengths: -Its the end all MK game. Every character, new fatalities, the whole nine yards

Weakness: -Same basic formula, but that is why you like MK.

This is the MK game for MK fans. Every character is back. No worries about your fav. character not being present in this incarnation of Mortal Kombat. There's even new fatalities so learning new moves will keep you busy for a good while. This is a game where it might be good to pick up the strategy guide to have all the moves written down for you to reference.
Hopefully, MK will keep this calibur of gaming goodness up when it moves to the Next-Gen systems.

Komplete Krap

Strengths: Lots of characters & modes of play

Weakness: Most characters feel generic & the same, graphics are well below average, gameplay is stiff & unintuitive, kart racing game is mediocre at best

It’s Mortal Kombat…again. This is the same old shtikk we’ve seen for years now, just with more kharakters & features. Of kourse, all the kharakters (besides the old staples) are so generik that most of them blend together. Graphiks are sub-par, with the kharakter models looking extremely plastik & shiny. The fighting is what it’s been for pretty much all of the 3d iterations of the series – stiff and unintuitive. The extra kart racing mode is amusing for a few minutes but pales in komparison to real kart games on the system (such as Jak X Raking). Kharakter kreation is handikapped by the unlokk system of the game – just about all of the parts used in kharakter kreation have to be purchased with koins earned by playing the game. But these koins are hard to kome by, and the game is so boring I kan’t imagine anyone playing long enough to unlokk anything signifikant. Basikally, the game is krap – stikk with a real fighting series like Soul Calibur or Tekken instead. And start using your “C’s” again.

Review for Mortal Kombat Armageddon

Strengths: Great game.

Weakness: none.

This is a really great game for players that have played other games in the Mortal Kombat franchise. Older children can play this game as long as they know the difference between animated violence and real. I would suggest the product to anyone.

More Kombat

Strengths: Online play. Create a character. Awesome intro movie. Tons of characters

Weakness: No Fatalities. No endings. Extra modes not very good. Just not that fun to play

Mortal Kombat Armageddon is the latest and hopefully the last 1 on 1 Mortal Kombat fighting game. Every character from every Mortal Kombat game is here. The downside to this is that there are no more character specific fatalities. Now all the characters preform the same basic finishing moves. The main attraction for this game is the character creation. Even though you can create your own character you must play through the main game to earn enough money. The main game is simply not fun and thus makes the whole thing pointless. In the end this game is only for the true die-hard Mortal Kombat fans.

MK: Armageddon

Strengths: Tons of characters to choose from

Weakness: none

MK: Armageddon is the Mortal Kombat game for all fans. It features every characters from the series. New fatalities and different modes of gameplay are also present in this game. This is truely the MK to own and play.

There is also a premium edition of the game in metal casing. It got some cool collector's items such as an arcade–perfect version of the original Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, a DVD video disc and animation cell cover artwork.

Weak Kombat

Strengths: Impressive character selection, slightly improved graphics.

Weakness: Everything but the characters and graphics.

This is an embarrassment to the new Mortal Kombat series. As improvements were being made to the series, this one reverses them. Fans of Mortal Kombat will be disappointed to know that character specific fatalities have been removed in favor of a generic "create-a-fatality" which makes you press short combinations to link parts of a fatality together. The fighting system is mostly the same since Deadly Alliance with the exception of only 1 unarmed and 1 weapon fighting style now. As a long time fan of Mortal Kombat I must say this is the final nail in the coffin for the series.

TEST YOUR MIGHT!!!!!

Strengths: Playable characters from the entire MK series,go kart racing(MK style),and a decent story driven konquest mode.

Weakness: controls are at times choppy and stiff. weak combos. often redundent music and scenery and graphics.

The MK(Mortal Kombat) series has been around since 1991 and has gone up against street fighter and many other one on one games and has hold it's own in the arcades due to it's unique fighting style.

Sadly, the fighting engine itself is showing some serious signs of aging, as well. It doesn't nearly offer the same fast-paced, fluid feel that's common to other fighting games these days, and it instead focuses on "dialing in" canned combos to deal damage to an opponent who leaves himself open. There's a new parrying system and air combo system, but they don't help the gameplay's awkward look or its counterintuitive feel. There are a good number of amusing or painful-looking animations, as well as awkward-looking moves that cause the same old blood to start spray.

To me it was somewhat of a let down because i thought the creators would finish up strong since it would be the last we see a MK title on a ps2,butdespite it's weakness the konquest mode kinda gives it a compliment to the series.

I would recommend it if you see it in the bargain bins.

3 out of 5 stars. MORTALLLLLLLLLLLLL KOMBATTTTTT!!!! j/k

Not as good as Deception

Strengths: Plays like all the other MK games, instantly familiar controls

Weakness: Doens't raise the bar in any particular area

After Deception, I found this title to be a bit of a let down. Felt more like a cobbled-together sequel than a new game. Can't fault the action---MK always delivers in that arena---but I found nothing here that made me say "wow, that's cool." Time for some new ideas.

MK Armageddon

Strengths: Good Versus Mode , Many characters to choose from

Weakness: None

Well this game is very well made and is especially fun for those who have enjoyed the previous version of MK. I persoanlly beleive this MK includes all the fun and gameply but includes numerous other additions to make it more fun. For example all of the maps/levels are interactable to a certain degree to allow damage to players. Additionally many characters are available to play with and i mean a lot - over 30. Buy it you wont regret it.
