King of Fighters Maximum Impact

Strengths: There are so many characters to choose from. I like the option that the gamer has to change the wardrobe of a fighter.

Weakness: I can't think of any weaknesses this game has.

King of Fighters Maximum Impact is an intense game with dramatic moves for individual characters. The music is vibrant, but more important is the styles each fighter has that determine the impact on the opponent. I enjoyed the various mode King of Fighters Maximum Impact offers. The Cathedral was my favorite arena to fight in because of the beautiful visual effect. I would recommend people to buy this game because you can battle numerous different characters.

An Atempt At Taking The King of Fighters Series 3D

Strengths: New Outfits, Animation

Weakness: Depth of Gameplay

King of Fighters Maximum Impact is a 3D fighting game and while it's 3D it really does try and play like it's 2D King of Fighters counterparts. The graphics, animation and feel of the game are all relatively similar to the 2D games being slightly different basically because it is in 3D but not too far off. The biggest thing to note about King of Fighters Maximum Impact is that when doing combos it is possible to damage foes when they are on the ground (similar to other 3D fighters like Tekken) but other then that pretty much everything else gameplay wise is everything you know about the King of Fighters series 2D games being done in 3D.

I would mostly recommend King of Fighters Maximum Impact to fans of the King of Fighters series as it's a decent fighter but as far as 3D fighting games go today it's pretty bare bones with other games that are better for a 3D fighting game on the Playstation 2.

King of Fighters goes 3D

Strengths: Lots of fighters, fun

Weakness: not as good as 2D King of FIghters

The King of Fighters series is one of the most well loved series out there. And it has always been played in 2D with sprites.

Now KoF makes its transition to the 3D space. There are tons of characters to choose from, some you know, some are new.

The moves are the same, but the gameplay is a bit different. In this KoF you can juggle your opponent for some nice combo action.

The only downfall is the transition to 3D is not perfect. The game is a little "floaty" overall, and some moves do not translate well. Also, the graphics aren't amazing, but they do the job.

KingFighters Maximum Impact

Strange things usually happen when publishers attempt to modernize classic franchises. One of the latest examples of this is King of Fighters: Maximum Impact. Given the global appeal that SNK's classic fighting series enjoys , it's arguable that the series doesn't need to be modernized. But modernized it was. In a sense, anyway. Maximum Impact is rendered in full-on 3D, but don't let that fool...

King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact

Do you have what it takes to be the King of Fighters? That is a question asked many times in the history of the SNK/Playmore franchise, but this time the question has a little more graphical backbone. Why? Because for the first time, KOF has gone three-dimensional with its stable of fighters. King of Fighters: Maximum Impact for the PlayStation 2 console system looks very good, but stumbles a...

KingFighters Maximum Impact

Traditional KOF fans need to stop and take notice: King of Fighters: Maximum Impact is not SNK's version of Street Fighter EX3. It isn't the classic 2D King of Fighters directly ported to 3D either, but rather, an all-new three-dimensional fighting experience that takes some of SNK's more popular components and melds them together with a few others. It's part Bloody Roar, part Real Bout: Fatal...
